Take It Back, V
Rom.14:17 “The Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and JOY in the Holy Spirit.” (emphasis added).
I get my joy back by first admitting I lost it, analyzing the cause, correcting what is wrong, focusing on the good in your life, and spending time with God every day. Next find a way to give back. Find a way to sacrifice, find a way to be a blessing. Read the rest of this entry
Take It Back, I
Ps.43:4 “There I will go to the altar of God, to God—the source of all my joy. I will praise you with my harp, O God, my God!”
In yesterday’s devotional, God began to talk to us about the importance of having joy in our lives as His children. Cranky Christians are bad witnesses. So, how do we get our joy back and how do we sustain our joy? Seven things! Are you ready? Read the rest of this entry

Psalm 116:6 “So I’ve learned from my experience that God protects the vulnerable. For I was broken and brought low, but he answered me and came to my rescue!” (TPT)
Jn.11:35 “Jesus wept.” Jesus wept because He was present. The question is “what keeps us from being present?” What keeps us from being present is wearing a mask. Wearing of masks was recommended to keep us safe during the covid 19 pandemic. Read the rest of this entry

Done!
John 19:30 “When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.”

When Light Flows, VI
Matt.5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” (NRSV, emphasis added).
Matt.6:1-4 “Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.” Read the rest of this entry
