The Repercussion
Gen.27:36 “Esau exclaimed, “No wonder his name is Jacob, for now he has cheated me twice. First he took my rights as the firstborn, and now he has stolen my blessing. Oh, haven’t you saved even one blessing for me?” [emphasis added].

The twelfth cause of curses is contact with an accursed thing. Josh.7:1 “But Israel violated the instructions about the things set apart for the Lord. A man named Achan had stolen some of these dedicated things, so the Lord was very angry with the Israelites. Honor Principle I
Eph.6:2 “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: 3 If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.”
We have been dealing with curses over the past few days and we are trusting God that because of this insight, there will be deliverances, in Jesus Name.

The eighth cause of curses is trusting in man. Please read Jer.17: 5-6. God says all who trust in man are cursed. It does not matter if the man is your husband or your father; if you put your trust in man, you are putting yourself under a curse. It does not matter if the man is your uncle abroad that sends you foreign currency. If your trust is in him, you are under a curse. Your help is from above and not from abroad.

The danger with programmed conditional curses is that they does not take effect immediately. So people tend to think there is nothing to the curse but in reality that is very far from the truth. Nothing happened when Joshua invoked the curse [Josh.6:26] and for years after, it was the same thing. But as soon as Hiel fulfilled the conditions of the curse [1Kings 16:34], which was rebuilding Jericho, the curse was immediately activated.

The sixth cause of curses is self-pronounced curses. The power of life and death lies in the tongue [Prov.18:21]. Sometimes we hinder ourselves with our own words. The unstable economy is affecting everyone but in addition to that you say, “I am finished!” You are not finished, in Jesus Name. Your child is stubborn; prayerfully deal with the stubbornness and stop making statements like, “This child is going to kill me”. The child is not going to kill you, in Jesus Name. The third cause of curses is parental curses. While all curses are devastating, a parent cursing a child is one of the most direct and devastating. It is a horrible thing! Please read Genesis 49:3-4. Your Job
2 Kings 2: 23 … a large group of young boys …began making fun of him: “Keep going, baldy! Keep going, baldy!” 24 …Elisha …spoke against them by the authority of the Eternal. Almost immediately, 2 female bears walked out of the forest and ripped up 42 of the …boys” [Voice]
I imagine that there were more than forty-two children there, but the Bible records that forty-two were ripped up. So it is safe to assume that some got away, with scratches on their bodies and deeply traumatized. That tells me that those ones had parents that were praying for them. Some people always seem to have near death experiences while others in similar situations do not survive it. Why? Someone is on his or her knees praying for him or her. In yesterdays devotional, we began to talk about curses and their effects. If you have not read it, please start to do so. The first effect of curses is that curses release supernatural forces to limit a person or a place. Secondly, curses are released to paralyze and negate people or places. I pray in the name of Jesus that every curse that is trying to or has succeeded in paralyzing or negating you or any part of your life, God will wipe out today [say Amen].
