His Image

1 Sam.3:19 “As Samuel grew up, the Lord was with him, and everything Samuel said, proved to be reliable.”

The second thing that excellent people do is sharpen their skills. So, rate yourself; how are your job skills? You need to be brutal with yourself in your assessment. If your job skills are obsolete, then you are a one. If you are learning, then you are a five. A ten is if you have a developmental plan. Read the rest of this entry

Outstanding

Matt.5:16Let your light shinebefore men, that they may see your good deedsand praise your Father in heaven.” [with emphasis]

Excellence glorifies God and inspires people. When we deliver excellence at work, we bring glory to God, our Maker and King. But it does not end there. People look at us and get inspired because of the level of excellence displayed through our work. Then they become inspired to be professional like you and inspired to serve your God. Over Turn

Eccl.10:10 “If the ax is dull, and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed but skill will bring success”

Energy even though finite is a variable. You can increase your energy level physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually by doing the right type of exercise and eating right accordingly. Time however, cannot be increased. While time is linear and cannot be concentrated, energy fluctuates and can be concentrated. And the increase in energy given in Read the rest of this entry

Economy Mode

Eccl. 8:6 (GN)”There is a right time and a right way to do everything but we know so little.” [with emphasis]

Dan.9:2 “During the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, learned from reading the word of the Lord, as revealed to Jeremiah the prophet” [with emphasis]

The fourth thing you need to do to Step Up financially is to permit No Loss. Yesterday, we established that the first way to lose money is not to tithe. Second way to lose money is to get robbed. It is possible to be paying your tithe and people are stealing from you. Read the rest of this entry

Seeds of Greatness

Prov.6:6 “Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! 7 Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, 8 they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter” [with emphasis].

To Step Up Financially, you must Earn Some; Spend Less, and Save More. Clement Stone says, “If you are unable to retain money, the seeds of greatness are not in you.” The first time I came across this quote, it more than shocked me. Read the rest of this entry

Create Margin

Deut. 28:12  “The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.”

To Step Up financially, the second thing you have to do is Spend Less. The first rule of spending is to always spend less than you earn. I understand that for some people, what they earn is not enough so spending less seems elusive. Read the rest of this entry

In Advance

Heb.12:6 “For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.”

For our relationships to thrive, forgiveness should happen before correction. Forgive means to completely bestow upon in advance. Choose to forgive in advance regardless of what people do. We see that this is the way our heavenly Father operates. Read the rest of this entry
