Resurrection

John 12: 24 “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives.”

We will kick off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday. Mary, Martha, and Lazarus were Jesus’ friends. Unfortunately, Lazarus became sick and eventually died. Mary and Martha had sent a message to Jesus, but Jesus did not get there until Lazarus had passed on. Read the rest of this entry

The Exchange I

Job 42:5-6 “I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.”

Sometimes, because we cannot see very far, we tend to argue with God. We look at our lives and we question God’s heart and His goodness. Why did You not do this and why did You not answer that prayer. Read the rest of this entry

Glory Road

2 Cor.4:17 (AMP) For our momentary, light distress (this passing trouble) is producing for us an eternal weight of glory (a fullness) beyond all measure (surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendour and an endless blessedness)!

When should I fast? You should fast in preparation to receive a Word from God. In God’s Favourite House, for example, we deliberately cut out special seasons where we fast in preparation to receive a Word from God. Read the rest of this entry

Unquestionable

Rev.19:10 (Voice) “…Stop it. Don’t you see? I am a servant like you and your brothers and sisters, all who hold fast to the testimony of Jesus. Address your worship to God, not to me! For the testimony about Jesus is essentially the prophetic spirit.”

It was prophesied that the Messiah would be forsaken by God. The prophecy is in Ps.22:1My God, my God, why have you abandoned me? Why are you so far away when I groan for help?” [with emphasis]. Read the rest of this entry

Glory Road

Ps.119:90 “Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth you created. 91 Your regulations remain true to this day, for everything serves your plans. 92 If your instructions hadn’t sustained me with joy, I would have died in my misery”.

Stay Down!

Deut.8:3 (NKJV) “So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.”

Yesterday, I shared my experience of being forced down with you and the gains I am still enjoying till this day. However, right in the middle of service year, Read the rest of this entry

Enough!

Isa.65:22 No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people; my chosen ones will long enjoy the work of their hands” (NIV, with emphasis).

Any one that takes a position against God’s plan for your life will be crushed by the weight of God’s glory. You will not be naïve all the days of your life. There are implications to aligning with God and there are implications to being against God. Read the rest of this entry

True Humility

1 Pet. 5:5 (NKJV) “…be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.”

Humility is a virtue that the more you have, the more you want. Humility is not “humbility”. The word “humbility” does not exist in the English dictionary; Read the rest of this entry

For Him

1 Kings 3:9 “Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours?”

There are implications when God says, “ask of Me”, the implication is focus, change your focus [Jer.17:5-8 please read]. Ask of Me means look at me, keep your eyes on Me. Ask of me means you have to be humble because asking puts you in a place of humility. Read the rest of this entry
