His Glory
Genesis 50:20 “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”
We have looked at three of the five things that we need to know, three of the five things that will illuminate our lives. Three of the five things that will solidify our lives and will make us unshakable, unmovable. Three of the five things that will make us rooted and planted even as God wants us to be. Never Forget
Deu.26:12 “The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.” (NIV)
Yesterday, we talked about an aspect of the Promised Land that was a struggle for the children of Israel back then and a lot of Christians struggle with it even today. God took them from a place where the water was flowing from the ground [the Nile] to a place where they needed to look up to Read the rest of this entry
Heads Up!
Psa.121:1–2 “I look up to the mountains and hills, longing for God’s help. But then I realize that our true help and protection is only from the Lord, our Creator who made the heavens and the earth.” (TPT)
Deut.11:10-12 “For the land you are about to enter and take over is not like the land of Egypt from which you came, where you planted your seed and made irrigation ditches with your foot as in a vegetable garden. Rather, the land you will soon take over is a land of hills and valleys with plenty of rain—a land that the Lord your God cares for. He watches over it through each season of the year!” Read the rest of this entry
Give Thanks
Ps. 148:5 “Let all things praise the name of the Lord, because we were created at his command.” (CEV, emphasis added).
God is good, that is why it is a delight to walk with Him. Even when you do not understand what He is doing, you know that all things work together for the good of those that love God and are called according to His purpose. Even though I do not understand it, Read the rest of this entry
Who He Is, II
Ps. 145:3 “The Lord is GREAT. He is worthy of our praise. No one can understand how great he is.” (ICB, emphasis added).
The first reason why my life and your life should give God thanks is Because Of Who God Is. God is GREAT, God is HOLY, God is LOVE, and God is JUST. Does that mean God is fair or is God unfair? Some people think that God is unfair even though they are afraid to say it for fear of being Read the rest of this entry
All In
Esther 4:15-16 “Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai: “Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die.”
In God, you put all your eggs in one basket, and you hand it over to God. That was what Esther did as we see in our anchor scripture today. Esther put all her eggs in God’s basket. The world says to us, do not put all your eggs in one basket, what if God fails? Read the rest of this entry
Its Time
Ps.1:1 “Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.” (emphasis added)
Yesterday, we began to look at this scripture and the three things that keep us in sync or take us out of sync with the timing of heaven and Jehovah. The first is The Advice You Take. The second thing is Where You Stand. Where do you stand? Read the rest of this entry
His Plan, His People
Neh.2:17-18 “But now I said to them… Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire. Let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem and end this disgrace!” Then I told them about how the gracious hand of God had been on me… They replied at once, “Yes, let’s rebuild the wall…”
It is a miracle and a total privilege to be able to worship God, the Maker of the heavens and the earth. God did not tell Moses to say to Pharaoh ‘let my people go’. That was not what God told Moses. It was more than that. Read the rest of this entry
Power To Prevail
Hosea 12:3-4 “He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God: Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us” (KJV).
We are still on our meditation on prayer. So far, we have looked at the effectiveness of prayer, the different types of prayer, and praying in tongues. Have you seen from afar or experienced in your life something being changed literally by prayer? Our focus for the next few days is on having power, Read the rest of this entry
About Tongues, II
Heb.6:12 “and not grow lazy. We want you to walk in the footsteps of the faithful who came before you, from whom you can learn to be steadfast in pursuing the promises of God.” (Voice)
Yesterday, from our reading in 1 Corinthians 14:1-15, we saw that Paul did not have an issue with speaking in tongues, neither did he have an issue with speaking in tongues either in a public place or a private place. However, he had an issue with speaking in tongues in a public gathering to God’s people. Read the rest of this entry
