Do You Know?

Gen. 26:12-13 “When Isaac planted his crops that year, he harvested a hundred times more grain than he planted, for the Lord blessed him. He became a very rich man, and his wealth continued to grow.”

Who are you in God? Are you in touch with your blessings, the blessings that God has released into your life? When you go to a place, the place becomes blessed because you are there. Read the rest of this entry

Strong Point

Hab. 3:17-18 “Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields… yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!”

Some people think that it is only when good things happen that God is happy with them. That theology is imbalanced. Question, what was the sin of Paul and Silas? They were doing God’s work and they were smack in the middle of God’s will. Read the rest of this entry

Time, Talent & Treasure

Matt. 2:11-12 “They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” (emphasis added).

God wants us to be positioned in such a way that we can say like the wise men, we are seeking Jesus. What happens when you give God your time, your talent, and your treasure? He multiplies it, that is what He does. Let me share a personal testimony with you. Read the rest of this entry

Truth vs. Error

John 8:32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

The story is told of a lady who was a medical doctor. God told her that He wanted her to do ministry full time. God also told her that if she chooses the medical field, He would bless it, make her prosper in it, and there will be no limit to it. However, the ministry was what God wanted her to do. Goodness

John 21:3&6Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing.” “We’ll come, too,” they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all nightThen he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get some…”

It is important to see Peter’s clout in today’s scripture reference. It is what Peter wants to do that everyone else wants to do. If Peter wants to play football, everyone wants to play. If Peter is playing golf, everybody is playing. If Peter is fishing, everyone is fishing. Read the rest of this entry

Eyewitness

John 9:11 “He told them, “The man they call Jesus made mud and spread it over my eyes and told me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash yourself.’ So I went and washed, and now I can see!”

When they asked this man who healed him, even though he had never seen before in his life and Jesus might have been standing beside him. He had never seen Jesus, so he did not know what Jesus looked like, but he had learned Jesus’ name. Read the rest of this entry

In Context

John 7:37-38 “On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”

Let me give you some background to today’s anchor scripture. The festival here is the festival of Tabernacles also knows as the festival of Shelters, or the festival of Booths [Succoth]. There are two dimensions to the festival of Tabernacles; there is a Historical Dimension and there is the Agricultural Dimension to the festival. Read the rest of this entry

Instruction

2 Tim.3:16 “Every Scripture has been written by the Holy Spirit, the breath of God. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness.” (TPT]

John 5:7I can’t, sir,” the sick man said, “for I have no one to put me into the pool when the water bubbles up. Someone else always gets there ahead of me.” God is focused on you, “Would you be made whole?” What do you want? Instead, you are focused on how your sister cheated you fifteen years ago. Recognition

1 Cor.15:41 “The sun is glorious in one way, the moon is glorious in another way, and the stars are glorious in their own [distinctive] way; for one star differs from and surpasses another in its beauty and brilliance.” (AMPC].

John 3:27 “John answered them, “A person cannot receive even one thing unless God bestows it.” (TPT]. Look to God and God alone as your source and do not be jealous of any man. The truth is, it does not make sense to be arrogant because you are nothing without Jesus – nothing! Read the rest of this entry

The How

Ps.9:1-2 “I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvellous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.”

It is one thing to know ‘why’ you should do something, but it is a totally different thing to know ‘how’. Our focus today is on how to live a life of thanksgiving to God. The first way is to thank God by Singing From Your Heart. Can the tone of your voice give your expression a different meaning? Certainly. God says sing from your heart; meaning, every time you show up before God, alone or in a crowd, God wants you to sing from your heart. Read the rest of this entry
