Worthy!

Ps. 96:8 “Credit Him with the glory worthy of His magnificent name;  gather your sacrifice, and present it at His temple..” (VOICE)

God is worthy; to be worthy is to be deserving. We had a full house growing up; six children with two [sometimes three] cousins staying with us. Eba [a Nigerian dish] was our constant lunch, Mondays to Saturdays, except on Sundays. Read the rest of this entry

For Love Sake

Rom. 5:8 (AMP) “But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

God wants you to be His friend. He is not interested in religion. God wants a relationship with you. Do you know why you are here right now and not six feet under? Do you know why you are not in other horrible places that you could possibly be in today? Read the rest of this entry

The Exchange III

Isa.61:3 “To all who mourn in Zion, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, oil of joy instead of mourning, a garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” (NLT & NIV]

Uncommon

Isa.55:8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. 9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”

When I first gave my life to Christ, I would pray about something, but I would not stop at praying alone. I would also give God several options and methods He can use to execute my request. Read the rest of this entry

Surely!

Ps.56:9 “Then my enemies shall turn back and scatter on the day I call out to You. This I know for certain: God is on my side” (Voice, with emphasis).

In today’s scripture reference, David makes a profound statement. David says, “I am not pretending that I do not have enemies. I am not pretending that everything is going to be rosy. Read the rest of this entry

Watch & Pray

Ps.121:1 “I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? 2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! 3 He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. 4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps.”

God Himself will prepare a table before you, you will feast until you are full, and no one can stop it. God is God all by Himself, He is not subject to anything, or anyone, or any circumstance. Read the rest of this entry
