Your Stand

Ex.34:13-14 “Instead, you must break down their pagan altars, smash their sacred pillars, and cut down their Asherah poles. You must worship no other gods, for the Lord, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you.”

Years ago, we went to pray with someone at her house because she was having consistent dreams of something pressing her and choking her. While we were praying, we felt there was something in her room. So, with her permission, we went into the room, Read the rest of this entry

Learn & Grow, I

1 John 4:6 “But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception.”

In today’s devotional, we will be answering some questions. So, pay attention.

Question #1: How do we develop the spirit of discernment? Heb.5:14 …by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” (NKJV]. Discernment can be developed by reason of use; the more you exercise it, the sharper you become, and the better it becomes. Read the rest of this entry

Eyes Right

John 2:16 (TPT] “And he shouted at the merchants, “Get these things out of here! Don’t you dare make my Father’s house into a center for merchandise!”

Sometimes people, even friends, come to me asking to be taught how to do certain things but when they find out that there is nothing, I do for God that I profit from, their interest dwindles very quickly. A friend once came asking to understand and learn how we put together the FreshFire devotionals. Read the rest of this entry

Guided?

1 Tim. 3:15 (NIV) “if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.”

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are to be used with diligence, cheerfulness, and faithfulness. Please read Rom.12:6-8; 1 Pet.4:10 -11. Spiritual gifts are to be used in an orderly and fitting way. Read the rest of this entry

Divine Guidance

Isa.30:21 “Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.”

As children of God, we have the privilege of divine guidance, the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  Since we have this privilege, we ought to make use of it. The Holy Spirit can speak to you and guide you on decisions you intend to make. Hear what God has to say before you decide. However, we should not sit-down expecting thunder to strike before we make decisions. Read the rest of this entry

Faith is… Come!

Heb.4:16 “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”

Please read Mark 5:21-43. For twelve years this woman was bleeding. For twelve years Jairus was rejoicing. If you have a daughter, you would understand what I am saying. Daughters are the best, no offense, please. Read the rest of this entry

Speak Up!

Eccl.4:10 “If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.”

We are a community and God has put people in your life to help you. You are not designed to go through life alone. There are people that God has put around you, prayerfully identify them and open up to them. Read the rest of this entry

Under or Above Pressure?

Dan.2:14 “When Arioch, the commander of the king’s guard, came to kill them, Daniel handled the situation with wisdom and discretion. 15 He asked Arioch, “Why has the king issued such a harsh decree?” So Arioch told him all that had happened.”

There is so much to learn from how Daniel handled the situation with the king. Daniel was a master negotiator. Daniel’s life was at stake, but he was calm. It was like there was a gun pointed to his head, but he was not under pressure or hysterical. Read the rest of this entry

Know Your God!

Gen.40:8 “And they replied, “We both had dreams last night, but no one can tell us what they mean.” “Interpreting dreams is God’s business,” Joseph replied. “Go ahead and tell me your dreams.”

Eccl.5:3 (KJV)For a dream cometh through the multitude of business…” As God’s child, you must always seek to know what your Father is saying particularly with supernatural experiences. Read the rest of this entry

Take The Reigns

Gen.3:6 “The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it” [with emphasis].

Please read Genesis 3:1-7, it details the first recorded crossroads in the history of mankind. The Bible says that she saw that the fruit was beautiful and that points to the lust of the eyes. Read the rest of this entry
