Verbalize It!
Luke 17: 17 Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? 18 Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” [with emphasis]
When you have the faith to receive a healing and you don’t have the grace to come back and say, “thank you”, you cheat yourself. When we are overwhelmed by the “next thing”, Read the rest of this entry
The Big Deal
Luke 17:15 “Then one of them, upon seeing that he was cured, turned back, recognizing and thanking and praising God with a loud voice; 16 And he fell prostrate at Jesus’ feet, thanking Him [over and over]. And he was a Samaritan.” [AMPC]
Every time God heals and does a miracle that is part one, no matter how big the miracle is. But every time you come back to say thank you, God delivers part two – every single time! Characteristic with leprosy is that it Read the rest of this entry
Kindness
Matt.10:8 “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!” [with emphasis]
What the world misses is that your character eventually becomes your reputation; because your character will over take your reputation. Who we are on the outside should be the same as who we are on the inside.
By His Hands
Matt.9:18 “As Jesus was saying this, the leader of a synagogue came and knelt before him. “My daughter has just died,” he said, “but you can bring her back to life again if you just come and lay your hand on her.”
Laying on of hands brings Healing. Mark 7:32 “A deaf man with a speech impediment was brought to him, and the people begged Jesus to lay his hands on the man to heal him.” Read the rest of this entry
Configuration
Eze.11:20 “So they will obey my decrees and regulations. Then they will truly be my people, and I will be their God.”
Yesterday, we highlighted three categories of people. The first category is people that have suffered abuse from people in authority over their lives.
Point Of Contact III
Lu.8:43 “A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding, and she could find no cure. 44 Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of his robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped”.
God is accessible but God is not common. Because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross, we can access God easily. We no longer have to sacrifice bulls and rams. We must never become too familiar with God. A lot of people in their bid to be uncommon, have barricaded themselves. Not Jesus, He chose to let people push and touch Him. But the person that places a demand on Him will get results. So when you hang out with God daily, value Him.
Reward
Gen.29:25 “Morning came: There was Leah in the marriage bed!” [MSG, with emphasis]
We teach our people [intending and already married couples], that when in marriage, the package [everything you see] is your portion. We teach our people acceptance. You accept the totality of the other person. Just accept it because in the morning it will always be Leah. You have to accept your lot in life because that is how it is. Three times in the Book of Ecclesiastes [3:22, 5:18 & 19], the Bible admonishes us to accept our lot in life.
Death To Life I
“Son of man, these bones are the entire community of Israel. They keep saying, “Our bones are dry now, picked clean by scavengers. All hope is gone. Our nation is lost.” Eze.37:11 [Voice, emphasis added]
Many times, we find ourselves in situations that can best be described as a dry bone situation. Some of us are far gone in that spectrum as it were. The situation is dry, dead, forgotten, and scattered. On the other side is the situation that is filled with life and abundance. And everyone is somewhere on this spectrum. That situation you are faced Read the rest of this entry
Guarantee
“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you” Rom.8:11.
“…Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive?” Luke 24:5. Not Mary, not Peter, not even John the beloved, nobody gave Jesus a chance. They did not believe that He would be raised from the dead. However, the beauty of this is, God does not need Peter’s permission to raise Jesus from the dead. God does not need Mary’s faith to raise Jesus form the dead. God does not need the willingness of the Pharisees to raise Jesus Read the rest of this entry
Yoked I
“And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God” Luke 13:12-13 [KJV]
It is not about the gift; it is about the giver. It is about Jesus. The problem with many people is they want Jesus to solve their problems but they want Him to stay out of their affairs. It is like saying, Jesus come and solve this problem but mind your business. But that is not what God wants. He wants to interfere. He wants to make your life better. He wants to take over your life. It is a deception that turning over your life to God is a loss. The truth is, it is a gain because there is no one Read the rest of this entry
