Just Flow, I

Eze.37:3 Eternal One (to Ezekiel): Son of man, do you think these bones can live? Ezekiel: Eternal Lord, certainly You know the answer better than I do.” (Voice)

You prophesy your destiny by The Words That You Speak, The Name That You Bear, and thirdly by Flowing With God – The Creator. You prophesy your destiny by flowing with God – the Creator. Ezekiel 37:1-3The hand of the Lord came upon me, and he brought me out by the spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me all around them; there were very many lying in the valley, and they were very dry. He said to me, “Mortal, can these bones live?” I answered, “O Lord God, you know.” Read the rest of this entry

Q & A, II

Luke 11:13 “So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”

When you ask for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, sometimes you also need to check if you are attuned and check issues of faith. Sometimes the Holy Spirit has given you the gift, but you do not even believe it. I suggest you check these first before concluding that the gift is s not for you. Read the rest of this entry

His Voice

1 Sam.3:7-8 “Samuel did not yet know the Lord because he had never had a message from the Lord before. So the Lord called a third time, and once more Samuel got up and went to Eli. “Here I am. Did you call me?” Then Eli realized it was the Lord who was calling the boy.”

The art of discerning what God is saying is the art of being led by the Spirit of God. We have a lot of resources on Hearing From God and discerning God’s voice. Listen to audio messages for free on the GFH Podcast on iTunes. Read the rest of this entry

The Journey

Isa. 53:7 “He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth.”

Easter is a very emotional time for a lot of Christians. Not because Jesus is suffering. Jesus is alive and well. But because Jesus suffered. I am always extremely honoured when I get the opportunity to share my thoughts at a time as this. Read the rest of this entry

When Light Flows, VI

Matt.5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” (NRSV, emphasis added).

Matt.6:1-4 Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.” Read the rest of this entry

Stand Tall

Rom. 8:19 “The entire universe is standing on tiptoe, yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters!” (TPT)

Is it flowing, how has the humility been flowing?? Over the next few days, we will be looking at another aspect of God’s heart for us. God is saying to us, let your light flow. When your light is flowing, your light is shining. Read the rest of this entry

Humble Bow

Philip.2:9 “Because of that obedience, God exalted him and multiplied his greatness! He has now been given the greatest of all names!” (TPT).

What has God said to you? What are you doing? That is how you will know if humility is flowing, or you are cutting off the flow. In all my years of pastoring and counselling couples through marital issues, I cannot remember any party in the marriage admitting that it was his or her Read the rest of this entry

The Flow

Phillip.2:7-8 “But He poured Himself out to fill a vessel brand new; a servant in form and a man indeed. The very likeness of humanity, He humbled Himself, obedient to death— a merciless death on the cross!” (Voice).

Humility flows when we defer to our peers and our subordinates. Humility flows when we give up our privileges. Humility flows when we take a lower position. Humility flows when we choose to be vulnerable. Jesus models true humility to us. Read the rest of this entry

Embrace Humility

Philip. 2:7-8 “But He poured Himself out to fill a vessel brand new; a servant in form and a man indeed. The very likeness of humanity, He humbled Himself, obedient to death— a merciless death on the cross!” (Voice)

Adopting Jesus’ model in Philippians 2, we see that firstly, humility flows when we defer to our peers and our subordinates. Secondly, humility flows when give up our privileges. Thirdly, Humility Flows When We Take A Lower Position. Read the rest of this entry

Let It Flow!

Lu.22:27 “Who is more important, the one who sits at the table or the one who serves? The one who sits at the table, of course. But not here! For I am among you as one who serves.” (emphasis added).

Even among the disciples Jesus had to deal with the matter of humility. Lu.22:24 -26 “Then they began to argue among themselves about who would be the greatest among them. Jesus told them, “In this world the kings and great men lord it over their people, yet they are called ‘friends of the people.’  But among you it will be different. Those who are the greatest among you should take the lowest rank, and the leader should be like a servant.Read the rest of this entry
