Highway
Isaiah 35:8-9 “And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it. No lion will be there, nor any ravenous beast… But only the redeemed will walk there, (NIV).
As God makes a way for you, the way God makes for you becomes a no-go area for your enemies. And that is huge. The way God makes for you is a no-go area for your enemies. When God makes a way for His children, it is a no-go area for the enemy. Read the rest of this entry
Come Clean
James 4:8 “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” (NRSV, emphasis added)
What comes to your mind when you think about God? Someone said, ‘What comes to mind when we think about God is the most important thing about us.’ So, what comes to your mind when you think about God? Read the rest of this entry
Our Advocate
John 14:16-18, & 20 “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth… No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you. …I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.”
When we look at what theologians have called the dispensation of divinity; there is a period that they categorize as the dispensation of Jehovah, of God the Father. That period is from creation till when Jesus came. Some people say that when Jesus came is the dispensation of the Son. Read the rest of this entry
New Life
Rom 8:13 (MSG) “The best thing to do is give it a decent burial and get on with your new life.”
Rom. 3:23-24 “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.” (emphasis added). Read the rest of this entry

His Beauty
Ps.138:2 “I bow before your holy Temple as I worship I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name”
Jesus died for you so that you can live for Him. God expects your best because He gave you His best. The Hebrew word for bow is translated kneel, worship; bow down means to prostrate before God. Read the rest of this entry
Shape Up!
Lu.15:21 “His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son”
The prodigal son came to his senses and his father responded in a way that was totally amazing, and it depicts how God responds to us. Lu.15:22-23 “But his father said to the servants, ‘Quick! Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him. Get a ring for his finger and sandals for his feed. Kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast” What the father was saying in essence is, ‘What makes you my son is not what you do; what makes you my son is who you are; you have my blood in you.’
Edifying Word
“The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us do what is right” 2 Tim.3:16 [TLB]
It is my prayer that God will speak to you today and that His Word will change your life, in Jesus Name. Please read and study Colossians 3:18 – 4:18. God’s Word for us is that adding anything to Jesus nullifies the power of the cross. In other words, Jesus plus something equals nothing. In our culture, particularly in this part of the world, we have people saying Read the rest of this entry
Corner Stones
Then build an altar to the Lord your God here on this hilltop sanctuary, laying the stones carefully. Sacrifice the bull as a burnt offering on the altar, using as fuel the wood of the Asherah pole you cut down.” Judg.6:26 [emphasis added]
“…laying the stones carefully. Sacrifice the bull as a burnt offering on the altar, using as fuel the wood…”. In raising an altar there are three things we must pay attention to.
The Stone: In obedience, by faith, Jerub-baal [that is Gideon] gathered the stones for the altar as instructed by God. So what do the stones represent when it comes to building an altar? Does this mean you and I need to need to start gathering stones? How does this apply to present day altar building? “You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” 1Pet.2:5 [emphasis added]. The stones represent you and I, so the stone you need to build an altar for God is yourself. God says, you, come yourself. And when you and I come together, we become lively stones and this becomes an altar to the Most High God.
The Wood: The wood represents the fuel and the fuel is the Holy Spirit. The wood can come from anywhere but the fuel is the Holy Spirit.
The Sacrifice: The sacrifice represents your body, your time, and your substance. Mathematically speaking, Sacrifice = Body + Time + Substance. In fact, your sacrifice is your life and that is what must be consistently present for the fire to burn and to keep burning. “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him” Rom.12:1 [emphasis added]. We are to give God our bodies as a living and a holy sacrifice, the kind He will find acceptable, because of all He has done for us. This is truly the way to worship Him. Some people erroneously say that when you get born again, it is your spirit that gets born again. So you can do anything with your body but just worship God in your spirit. And they will support it with this scripture, God is a spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. While it is true that God is a spirit, it is not true that God does not care about your body. God wants your body as is clearly stated in scripture. And that is in the New Testament for those who want to differentiate New Testament from Old Testament. Give your body. If you have given God your body, it is difficult to allow the same body to be defiled. If your body belongs to God, no rascal should be able to touch it because your body belongs to God.
Prayer: Jesus, my body belongs to You and I present it to You today afresh as a living and holy sacrifice; may it always be pleasing to You, in Jesus Name.
Only One
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the [consistently] righteous man [upright and in right standing with God] runs into it and is safe, high [above evil] and strong” Prov.18:10 [AMP]
God cannot share the throne of your heart with another god. It has to be God and God alone. The Philistines took the Ark of Covenant of God to the shrine of dagon, their god. What do you think happened? By morning Dagon had bowed down, fallen flat on his face. Why? because there can only be one God. They obviously Read the rest of this entry
