Right Now II

‘God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.’ Ps.46:1-2

There is a second side to our story from yesterday. The witch’s side; after confessing that she wants Jesus, the young evangelist allowed her to share her testimony. And she said that when the man smiled, confusion hit them in their kingdom. Just a smile and they were all confused. As if that was not enough, he turned his back and slept off. Who did that? Was it him? It was Read the rest of this entry

Right Now I

‘God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea’ Ps.46:1-2 [KJV]

I don’t know the phase of life you are in right now. I don’t know what struggles you are going through or dealing with. But I am here to tell you that God is your very present help. Present means now. You may have bills to pay, or perhaps your rent is due, maybe you have accommodation issues, or even a career issue, perhaps you have a health challenge, or you Read the rest of this entry

Who Is…

“Therefore, God elevated Him to the place of highest honor and gave Him the name above all other names” Phil.2:9

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in the heaven and on the earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” Phil.2:10-11. Back in the day, Sunday was evangelism time for my wife and I; this was even before we became Pastors. After church, we would visit our friends that don’t know Read the rest of this entry

Do You Really Know Him?

“One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple” Ps.27:4 [KJV].

Jesus is Alpha! Jesus was there before you were born, before your parents decided to have a baby. Even when they said you were a mistake and they wanted to flush you out, Jesus made sure that you were not aborted. I know of a child that the parents attempted to abort several times but they did not succeed. And today, that child is the most powerful among their children and the parents are glad that they didn’t abort the child. Read the rest of this entry

Is He God?

“Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God” Psalm 90:2 [NKJV].

There was never a time when Jesus did not exist and there will never be a time when Jesus won’t exist. It is so important that we understand this because this is really what separates our faith in Christ as believers from every other faith. There is undeniable proof that Jesus lived on earth. A lot of people will not argue with that. They will agree that Jesus came, that He was very wise, and that He was a moral teacher. But where a lot of people stumble and fall, is the thing about God –is He God? It is at this point that you hear people Read the rest of this entry

No Need For Another!

‘Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God’ Heb.12:2

Jesus is the only alphabet you can use to reach God. The only language that God speaks and understands is the language where the alphabet has Jesus as the alpha and omega and everything in between. For example, if you were to teach a child English, your beginning point would be the alphabets, right? So you would start something like this, A is for apple, B is for Ball, and so on. But in the school of Heaven, in the Read the rest of this entry

Alpha And Omega

“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” Rev.1:8

Jesus is Alpha and Omega. Jesus is not just the Alpha and Omega; He is everything else in between. Jesus is at the center of it all. Even though He is the Alpha, even though He is the Omega, Jesus is at the center of everything. H. G. Wells says, “I am a historian, I am not a believer. But I must confess as a historian that this penniless preacher from Nazareth is irrevocably the very center of history. Jesus Christ is easily the most dominant figure in all history”. Jesus Christ is irrevocably the center of history. The dating system Read the rest of this entry

Re-Affirm

“Jesus told them, “Go back to John and tell him what you have heard and seen— the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor” Matt.11:4-5.

Sometimes, our circumstances or the circumstances in which we find ourselves threaten our intimacy. “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?” Matt.11:3. Now think about it, how can John the Baptist ask such a question after all he has seen? How can he ask such a question after all he has been through? Remember, John was six months older than Jesus. John met Jesus first in the womb [Luke 1:41]. So John knew Jesus even by revelation [Mark 1:7]. He didn’t take it for Read the rest of this entry

The Only One!

‘Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” John 11:40 [NIV]

For a lot of us, due to apparent delays, we have begun to ask the same question that John the Baptist asked after he had been in prison for a while. “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” Martha faced similar delays. She had called Jesus to come and heal her brother Lazarus but Jesus delayed. Jesus then shows up after Lazarus had died and Martha says, “Well, Jesus, it’s too late right now to heal my brother”. The One

And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples and said to Him, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” Matt.11:2-3

Jesus is easily the most dominant figure in all history and He poses the most important question to Peter and to us. ‘…He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” Matt.16:13. Your response to this very important question determines where you will spend eternity. H. G. Wells says, “I am a historian, I am not a believer. But I must confess as a historian that this penniless preacher from Nazareth is irrevocably the very center of history. Jesus Christ is easily the most dominant figure in all history”. It is not new that people have tried to commonize Jesus Read the rest of this entry
