By Grace

“For God said to Moses, “I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.” So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it.” Rom.9:15-16 [emphasis added]

It is a very special season particularly because we are transitioning into a new year. I strongly believe that by the time we have transitioned into the New Year, God’s favour would have transformed our lives totally. What separates people from the pack is the favour of God and that favour will rest immensely on you. As believers, we are products of grace. Grace is so Read the rest of this entry

Overflow III

And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truthEx.34:6 [emphasis added].

God wants you to know that His goodness is without limits [inexhaustible]. Our challenge as human beings is that we get satisfied too easily. You prayed and God answered by doing beyond what you could ever think or imagine. What happens is that a lot of people just relax and become complacent. We do not seek after God any more or hunger for more. And that is a problem because God still has a lot more for us and we have to press into it.

Fess-up!

“Suppose I wanted to hide from you and said, “Surely the darkness will hide me. The day will change into night and cover me.” Even the darkness is not dark to you. The night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are the same” Ps. 139:11-12

“…And they have not only stolen them but have lied about it and hidden the things among their own belongingsJosh.7:11 [emphasis added]. You could almost feel God’s pain reading this portion of Scripture. “They have not only stolen, but they have hidden it and lied about it.” One of your greatest assets in your walk with God is your sincerity. If you have done something, no matter what it is, be sincere with your heavenly Father. David is an amazing Read the rest of this entry

The Key

Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, when the Lord has not commanded it?Lam.3:37 [NKJV]

Why are you afraid? “Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, when the Lord has not commanded it?” So why should you be afraid? So what if a sorcerer cursed you or a witch wants you dead. It does not matter; their counsel will always come to nothing in the Name of Jesus. Why? It is because God has not commanded it! Perhaps you are from one of those Read the rest of this entry

Understanding Mercy And Grace

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” John1:14 [KJV]

As a child, when you know that your father is merciful you would not see the need to hide anything from him. Similarly, when you take God as your Father, your Merciful Father you will run to Him especially when you need mercy most. However, unlike our earthly fathers, God already knows everything we Read the rest of this entry

Mercy And Love

“And I will be merciful to them in their wrongdoings, and I will remember their sins no more.” Heb.8:12 [TLB]

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so muchEph.2:4 [emphasis added]. It is just so amazing that God is not only rich in mercy; He is also very rich in love. God is rich in mercy and He is full of love. I was walking down the street and something caught my eye, a father and his son were having a coaching lesson. The grass was green and the pitch was set, the father placed the ball in the penalty Read the rest of this entry

But God!

And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth” Ex.34:6 [NKJV].

On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb.  They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.  While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?  He is not here; he has risen!” Luke 24:1-5 [emphasis added]. “God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy” Matt.5:7

Have you noticed that over the past few days I have been giving you a lot of scriptural references? It is because this is the Word of God and that is where you should be grounded. Open your mind to the Holy Spirit as you obediently read them. Taste and see…

Compassionately So

“Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick” Matt.14:14.

Jesus heals with compassion. Everything Jesus did, He did out of compassion. Jesus did not heal condescendingly; He healed out of compassion. If you want to operate the gift of healing, you must unlock your heart of compassion. You want to lay hands on the sick and they will recover? When someone is in pain, does it break your heart? Does their challenge move you to act on their Read the rest of this entry

Merciful God

“Is it against the law for me to do what I want with my money? Should you be jealous because I am kind to others?’” Matt.20:15 [emphasis added]

The crux of this story [Matt.20:1-15] is not how to arm twist God or for you to think that it’s best to get born again just before you die. It does not work. If you check that story, every one of them came into the Kingdom when the landowner called them. So the door of the Kingdom is open to you when God is calling you, not at your discretion. If you wait to get born again at your Read the rest of this entry
