Take A Stand
James 5:17-18 “Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.”
Up until this point of his introduction, Elijah was an unknown prophet until in 1 Kings 17:1 “And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” (KJV). Matt.25:6-9 “Then suddenly, in the middle of the night, they were awakened by the shout ‘Get up! The bridegroom is here! Come out and have an encounter with him!’ So all the girls got up and trimmed their lamps. But the foolish ones were running out of oil, so they said to the five wise ones, ‘Share your oil with us, because our lamps are going out!’ ‘We can’t,’ they replied. ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. Right Season
Acts 2:33 “Then God exalted him to his right hand upon the throne of highest honour. And the Father gave him the authority to send the promised Holy Spirit, which is being poured out upon us today…” (TPT).
Eccl.9:11 “I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race…” Since the race is not to the swift, is the Bible saying do not be fast? No, the Bible is saying if you train to be fast, you are the favourite to win the race. Read the rest of this entry
