You Must IV
Phil.2:3 “Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves”
If you are still single, my advice is do not marry a selfish person. It is just an advice. Selfishness is a huge destroyer. A person cannot be selfish and humble at the same time. It does not work that way. Selfishness is one of the major cankerworms that destroys the fabric of marriage. Read the rest of this entry
Your Move
Isa.43:18 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19 See, I am doing a new thing…”
You cannot keep holding on to what worked yesterday when God is telling you to move forward. You need to let it go. So many times what keeps us from today’s miracles are actually yesterday’s miracles. You need to remain hungry and remain fresh for God. Read the rest of this entry
Words of Life
John 6:63 “The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life”.
The soil facilitates three things – death, stability and continuous nourishment. The soil is a place of continuous nourishment. The water and nutrients that the plants need reach the plant through the root via the soil. When you tell children to water a plant, most often, they pour the water on the leaves of the plant. And it is because they do not know that the water actually goes in through the root. No root, no nourishment. No nourishment, no fruit. No fruit, no harvest. That is not the place to be.
The Workings II
Gen.26: 12 “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. 13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great” [KJV]
There is a seed for every need. If you want to be anointed, there is a seed. Pay the price and get anointed; heaven is not a respecter of persons. The problem is a lot of people are not willing to pay the price. While there is a seed for every need, there are also certain seeds that you do not sow. For instance, if you want a good relationship there are certain seeds you do not sow. Prov.16:28 “A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best of friends”. The Priesthood
Rev.5:10 “And you have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for our God. And they will reign on the earth”
To go forward, the first thing you must do is to build your body, the temple of the Holy Spirit. The priesthood sustains the temple and the priesthood is based on repetition. This means that the duties of a priest are repetitive. It is almost like a list of what to do daily and at different times of the day. So, for you to take care of your temple there are things you have to do repetitively. And whether you like it or not, whether you feel like it or not, you have to be consistent at doing these things.
The Truth!
Isa.64:6 “We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags…”.
Are you worthy? This is a question that you must confront yourself with. Most times, we do not bother asking because we usually approach God with an attitude of unworthiness. And rightly so, because by ourselves we are unworthy; the best of our righteous acts is like a filthy rag before our Holy God. However it is because of this fact that Jesus came.
Knowing IX
Prov.22:17–19 [TLB, emphasis added] “Listen to this wise advice; follow it closely, for it will do you good, and you can pass it on to others…”
When God wants to take you into a new experience with Him, what do you do? I would say the only response is to follow Him. And this is the beauty of relationship; the more you spend time with God, the more He reveals Himself to you. Has God not been beautiful beyond description even before you and I were formed? But as you spend time with Him, as you experience Him and tarry in His Presence, these things become real to you. Then you become better equipped to pick out His voice even amidst a crowd.
Grow Up!
“When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity” 1 Cor.13:11-12
Some of us are allowing our hearts to become hardened because of the pains that we have gone through. For some of us reading this today, the pain was caused by your fellow Christians. And you are wondering, how can these people call themselves Christians and be behaving like this? And you have allowed that experience to harden your heart. It could even be your spouse who perhaps Read the rest of this entry
Stay On Track
“Let everyone be sure to do his very best, for then he will have the personal satisfaction of work done well, and won’t need to compare himself with someone else” Gal. 6:4 [LB]
The first way to reduce the stress of competition is to Stop Comparing. Comparing is a foolish thing to do because you are unique. God designed you uniquely. In fact, God designed your genes uniquely. No two human beings have the same genes. You have designer genes. Why is it a bad thing to compare? It is because it causes envy and bitterness. It makes you miserable, do not do it. “Let everyone be sure to do his very best, for then he will have the personal satisfaction of work done well, and won’t need to compare himself with someone else” Gal.6:4[LB, emphasis added]. Reactive And Proactive
“...Stupid people spend their money as fast as they get it” Pr. 21:20 [GN]
God is saying, stop spending your money as quickly as you earn it; then you are wise. I know this is hard to take in, yet the truth is, if what will pull you out to financial freedom were easy, you would have already done it. When I first read this Scripture, it made me uncomfortable. But I had to let this truth work out greatness in me. I had to deliver myself from impulsive buying. You do not encounter the truth and brush it Read the rest of this entry
