Irrational Compassion

Luke 10:34 “…Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him. 35The next day he handed the innkeeper two silver coins, telling him, ‘Take care of this man. If his bill runs higher than this, I’ll pay you the next time I’m here.’”

 

To be able to show compassion, you have to see people how God sees them. God does so much for us but do we always do the right thing at the right time?

The Assurance

Heb.10:23 (AMPC) “So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.”

 

Jer.29:10 This is what the Lord says: “You will be in Babylon for seventy years. But then I will come and do for you all the good things I have promised, and I will bring you home again.

Conditioning

Jer.29: And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.”

 

As if the conditions were not tough and confusing enough, God was demanding that they should be nice? These people had captured them and made them slaves.

As we endure, our character grows and develops. With endurance working hand-in-hand with courage, discipline, and vision, you will see your desires come to pass, in Jesus name.

Key Component I

Heb.12:7 [NIV] “Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?”

Stand!

Isa. 40:8 (NIV) “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”
