Tune In

John 3:8 “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” (NIV)

Yesterday, we established that the human body is both a blessing and a limitation. Your spirit is confined to your body. If your spirit gets detached (I am using the word ‘detached’ carefully here), that is it. Read the rest of this entry

In Faith

Hebrews 11:1-2 “Faith is the assurance of things you have hoped for, the absolute conviction that there are realities you’ve never seen. It was by faith that our forebears were approved.” (Voice)

Hebrews 11:1What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.” (LB). Now that we know what faith is and how to grow in faith. Read the rest of this entry

Cross Benefits

Colossians 2:14-16 “He cancelled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross. So don’t let anyone condemn you…”

What Did Jesus “Finish” On The Cross? The first is Jesus Paid The Penalty and Cancelled The Debt. The second thing is, Jesus Defeated The Fear Of Death. You do not have to be afraid of death anymore because Jesus already took care of where you are going. Read the rest of this entry

Concentrate

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (NIV).

What is the difference between repercussion and punishment? Simply put, repercussion means if you sow corn, you will reap corn. Punishment is a different thing entirely. Read the rest of this entry

Chapter B

Isaiah 55:8-9 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”

We will pick up today from our final thought of yesterday, which flowed from Hebrews 11:25Moses chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time.” (NIV, emphasis added). Read the rest of this entry

Watch Out!

Psalm 75:5-7 “Don’t raise your fists in defiance at the heavens or speak with such arrogance.’” For no one on earth—from east or west, or even from the wilderness— should raise a defiant fist. It is God alone who judges; he decides who will rise and who will fall.”

We will kick off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday which is, never ever get to a place where you feel so big that you disdain God by disobeying His voice. A long time ago, a man came to my office talking very big, he said one of his many warehouses had goods worth over two billion in it. Read the rest of this entry

Cultivate

Psalm 27:8 “When You said, “Seek My face [in prayer, require My presence as your greatest need],” my heart said to You, “Your face, O Lord, I will seek [on the authority of Your word].” (AMP)

We will kick off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday which is, the places you are present determine the presence you carry. If you want to carry light, the presence of God which you will carry in the Name of Jesus, you need to spend time with light. Read the rest of this entry

Light Forward

Psalm 18:28 “For You cause my lamp to be lighted and to shine; the Lord my God illumines my darkness.” (AMPC)

Galatians 6:9May we never tire of doing what is good and right before our Lord because in His season we shall bring in a great harvest if we can just persist.” (Voice). Are you going to persist? What are you going to fight for? Read the rest of this entry

Connections

Isa.5:2&4 “He ploughed the land, cleared its stones, and planted it with the best vines… Then he waited for a harvest of sweet grapes, but the grapes that grew were bitter. What more could I have done… I expected sweet grapes, why did my vineyard give me bitter grapes?

Proverbs 6:6-8 “Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter.” And because they are ready for winter, when winter comes, it appears Read the rest of this entry

Faith & Wisdom

Prov.21:31 “The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord. (ESV, emphasis added)

There is nothing wrong with planning, with systems, with faith, and with prayer. Anyone who says you have prayed enough does not understand prayer. Anyone that says you have worked enough, does not understand the nature of work. Read the rest of this entry
