Be Deliberate

Galatians 3:26 “…we are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ” (LB, emphasis added).

What have you been doubting that God can handle? Pause and think about it. What have you been doubting that God can handle in your life, marriage, career, family, children, business, finances, relationships, etc? Read the rest of this entry

When Light Flows, III

Prov. 27:17 “Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend [to show rage or worthy purpose].” (AMPC)

My light flows and shines when I call things that be not as though they were and my light flows when I am engaged in community. There are things that you want to get, there are levels of light and revelation that you need for life that will only come when you do life with other Christians. Read the rest of this entry

The Flow

Phillip.2:7-8 “But He poured Himself out to fill a vessel brand new; a servant in form and a man indeed. The very likeness of humanity, He humbled Himself, obedient to death— a merciless death on the cross!” (Voice).

Humility flows when we defer to our peers and our subordinates. Humility flows when we give up our privileges. Humility flows when we take a lower position. Humility flows when we choose to be vulnerable. Jesus models true humility to us. Read the rest of this entry

Divine Turn

Proverbs 11:24-25 “One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. Be generous, and you will be prosperous. Help others, and you will be helped.” (NIV & GNT)

By the grace of God, your turning point has begun; therefore, expect a turnaround from Darkness to Light. Expect a turnaround from the Prison to the Palace. Expect a turnaround from Sorrow to Joy in the Name of Jesus. Read the rest of this entry

By Praise

Psalm 98:4-5 “Shout to the Lord, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy! Sing your praise to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and melodious song.”

Yesterday, we shared the story of Horatio Spafford who when confronted with the pain of losing his four daughters, did not point his finger at God angrily. He did not question God’s faithfulness saying, ‘Why couldn’t You save them? Read the rest of this entry

The Benefits

1 Cor.6:19 “Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself.”

We will kick-off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday which is, you do not belong to yourself, and you need to understand that your body does not belong to you. Caring for your body, God’s temple, is a discipleship issue. Read the rest of this entry

Be Renewed

1 Cor.9:26-27 “I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got. No sloppy living for me! I’m staying alert and in top condition. I’m not going to get caught napping . . .” (MSG)

When it comes to Church, we do a lot of spiritual work and it is great because everything stems from the spiritual. We do a little bit more on the mental side, but we do not do much on the body side. Read the rest of this entry

Gifts For Him

Isa. 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (KJV)

Christmas is for giving and a lot of us are going to buy gifts for the people we value this Christmas – true or false? True. Now the question is, what are you going to give Jesus this Christmas? After all, it is His birthday. Read the rest of this entry

Immanuel

Luke 2:10-11 “but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!”

To be positioned for blessings this season, we have to be like the shepherds and celebrate that God is with us. Joseph cooperated; the shepherds celebrated. Luke 2:16&20They hurried to the village and found Mary and Joseph. And there was the baby, lying in the manger… The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them.” (emphasis added). Read the rest of this entry

Come Thirsty?

John 20:10-11 “Then they went home. Mary was standing outside the tomb crying, and as she wept, she stooped and looked in.”

John outran Peter but he did not overstep authority. Peter arrived on the scene and they both went into the tomb. What they saw confirmed what they had been told and they went home satisfied. But not Mary. Think about this for a minute; these were men, ladies came to call you that there is trouble. Read the rest of this entry
