Your first experience of a person of authority shapes your reaction to other authorities. Our parents are the first authority figures in our lives. Our experiences with our parents shape our experiences with God and with authority to a very large extent.
Yesterday, we established that the concept of “Work-Family Balance” is a myth. Instead, seek “Work-Family Integration” because with integration, equilibrium is attainable and balance is possible. The myth that a lot of us have is, we are trying to create a balance and it is often tagged “Work-Family Balance.” Are you familiar with this?
