Into-Me-See

1 Cor.2: 11 “No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit.”

The third step to confidently facing the future is to be secure in your relationship with Jesus. It is all about Jesus. Being in a relationship with Jesus gives you access to three things and these three things make all the difference in dealing with fear. Being in a relationship with Jesus gives you access to His Presence. In Him we live, in Him we move, and in Him we have our being. Being in a relationship with Him makes it possible for you to sustain His Presence. Isa.41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand” [TLB]

Future Peace

Ecc.8:7 “For no one knows what is going to happen, so who can warn him before it does?” [Voice]

Human beings have an innate desire to know the future. This is why we have so many people predicting the future. Every year, different people come up with predictions of what the year holds. The business people come up with business predictions and anyone that has anything to do with anything spiritual, comes up with its own predictions. There are a lot of confusing and contradicting predictions out there because everybody just wants to have a say about what will happen in the future.

Behold…

Genesis 29: 25 “But when Jacob woke up in the morning—it was Leah! “What have you done to me?” Jacob raged at Laban. “I worked seven years for Rachel! Why have you tricked me?”

If you put the weight of your deepest desire on any human being, you are going to crush them. I do not care how big your husband’s biceps are or how talented your wife is, if you put the weight of your deepest desire on him or her, you are going to crush them. The reason this will happen is because they cannot carry the weight and you will be left disappointed. The times that I have been unhappy are the times I expected a human being to fill my tank. Subconsciously, I shifted my gaze from looking to God to fill my tank, to Read the rest of this entry

Speak Up

Est.4:16Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die.”

The beauty about our relationship with God is that whenever we call on Him, He hears us and answers us. Scriptures give us many examples of God’s faithfulness through answered prayers. Over the next few days we are going to be looking at examples of people in the Bible that encountered God, how God changed their destinies and they moved forward.

Our first example is Esther. King Xerxes had a problem with his wife and she was dethroned. His search for a new queen led him to Read the rest of this entry

Be Prepared

“…in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor…, and Herod being tetrarch…, and his brother Philip tetrarch…, Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness” Luke 3:1-2

The angel appeared to the shepherds [Luke 2:8-14 please read]. God wants you and I to know that the lack of spiritual status does not disqualify anyone from a spiritual experience or privilege. You cannot say that because you are not a pastor then you cannot find God or hear God. These men were shepherds; they were ordinary people with no status. In fact, in that culture they Read the rest of this entry

True Worth

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it” Eph.2:8-9 [emphasis added]

Many of us are quick to think that Jesus came to make good people better. And while we would admit that we are not where God wants us to be, but in our hearts we believe we are good. And we believe that it is because of that little goodness that Jesus came to help us to be better. I am sorry but that is not why Jesus came. Some believe that they are a little bad so they need Jesus to Read the rest of this entry

Overflow III

And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truthEx.34:6 [emphasis added].

God wants you to know that His goodness is without limits [inexhaustible]. Our challenge as human beings is that we get satisfied too easily. You prayed and God answered by doing beyond what you could ever think or imagine. What happens is that a lot of people just relax and become complacent. We do not seek after God any more or hunger for more. And that is a problem because God still has a lot more for us and we have to press into it.

Pardoned

“Speak tenderly to Jerusalem.
Tell her that her sad days are gone and her sins are pardoned.
Yes, the Lord has punished her twice over for all her sins” Isaiah 40:2 [ emphasis added]

Sometimes, when we maneuver wrongly it gets us into trouble. Sometimes, it is the maneuvers our parents have done on our behalf that have puts us in trouble. If you are in that situation, I believe very strongly that this is God’s Word for you: “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the LORD’s hand double for all her sinsIsaiah 40:2 [NIV, emphasis added]. I say to you with all tenderness, your hard service has been paid for.

With You!

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit… The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:6 & 8 [emphasis added]

Years ago I had to represent the company I used to work for at the time, in South Africa. I went through all the necessary preparations with our partners because I was the one going to do the presentation. When I was about to go, one of them shook my hand and said, the forces be with you. I did not want to say amen because I was not sure which force he was referring to. But when I inquired about him, I found out that he is a Jew. Sometimes you think you are the only one that knows God. Every Jew knows Read the rest of this entry

Re-Tune

“What’s more, I am changing your name. It will no longer be Abram. Instead, you will be called Abraham, for you will be the father of many nations” Gen.17:5

God’s instruction for us in this season is Re-Tune. To tune is to put into proper pitch. The purpose of tuning any instrument is to put it in proper pitch. To tune is also to adjust to a desired frequency. If you are tuning a radio, you are adjusting it to a desired frequency. To re-tune therefore means to put into proper pitch again. To re-tune means to readjust into a desired frequency.
