The Way

Heb.12:2 “We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne” [with emphasis].

Do you want to sit in the place of honour God has for you and your destiny? If your answer is yes, then you must keep your eyes on the joy while you go through the pain. It is not about the pain, it is about the joy. Read the rest of this entry

Joy vs. Happiness

James 1:2 “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

Nobody enjoys trials, not even Jesus. Jesus did not like the cross and He is the Son of God. Jesus told everyone that the cross was the purpose for which He had come but when He was faced with the cross, He ran to the Father. “Lord, if it is Your will make this cup pass over me”. Pure Joy II

James 1:2Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance” [with emphasis].

It appears that man’s perception of joy is very different from God’s reality. Yesterday, we learnt that there is joy and there is pure joy. God says we should consider it pure joy when we face trials of different kinds. And that does not really line up with our idea of what happiness is. Read the rest of this entry

Pure Joy I

Ps. 16:11 (VOICE) “Instead, You direct me on the path that leads to a beautiful life.  As I walk with You, the pleasures are never-ending, and I know true joy and contentment.”

The joy that is in the Kingdom is in the Holy Spirit and in walking with God. It is as we get into God and into our relationship with Him that we get into His life and experience His joy. The Holy Spirit

This Scripture gives us a clue into the source of joy. There are people that cannot get excited unless they take a substance. But after the substance wears out, they are back to being sober and sorrowful. But you and I have the Holy Ghost constantly with us so we are on a constant high. Read the rest of this entry

Rejoice

Philip. 4:4 (NKJV) Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” [with emphasis]

God empowers us to be joyful and He expects us to be joyful. I am trusting God that everything that is leaking your joy will be exposed and evicted out of your life, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Ps. 118:24  “This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.Read the rest of this entry

Jesus’ No.1 Fan

Ps. 98: 4 “Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises. 5 Sing to the Lord with the harp, With the harp and the sound of a psalm”
