“To God” “From Idols”

1Thess.1:9 (NIV) “…They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God” [with emphasis].

Can you identify the order that is outlined in today’s scriptural reference? God’s Word says turn to God from idols. In the original [in the Greek], it actually emphasizes the fact that you are not turning from idols to God, instead you turn to God from idols. Read the rest of this entry

The Test

Gen: 22:1Some time later, God tested Abraham’s faith. “Abraham!”… “Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.”

It is important that when we read the stories in the Bible, we do not gloss over them. You have to put yourself in these people’s shoes so you can experience God through their eyes. You have to make your trust in God bigger than your savings account, bigger than your finances. Read the rest of this entry

Perception

Prov.11:24 (NKJV) “There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty.”

The average person is dishonest and that is the reality that we are faced with. You cannot run a successful business by leaving your business in the care of a manager. You have no clue what is happening but you are waiting for returns. Read the rest of this entry

Invest

Eccl.11:1 (NCV) “Invest what you have, because after a while you will get a return. Invest what you have in several different businesses… 4 Those who wait for perfect weather will never plant seeds; those who look at every cloud will never harvest crops.”

To Step Up financially means Earn Some, Spend Less, Save More, No Loss and the fifth thing is Invest More. It is common knowledge that inflation beats the interest on savings in most countries. This means if all you are doing is saving money then you are losing money. Read the rest of this entry

From Me To You

Pr.22:7 “Just as the rich rule the poor, so the borrower is servant to the lender.”

I beseech you with the Word of God – do not borrow! My wife and I have this principle in life; we agreed on it upfront and it is based on the Word of God. God’s Word says in Ps. 84:11 For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.” Read the rest of this entry

Weights Off II

Heb.12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up…” [with emphasis].

Today, we will continue from where we left off yesterday. The truth is that some things are not necessarily sin but they are not for you. And this is because of your own consecration with God and what He wants to do in your life. Read the rest of this entry

Weights Off I

Josh. 1:8 (NRSV) “This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to act in accordance with all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall be successful.”

The person that reads will always rule over the person that does not read. Great people are hungry for knowledge and this is because leaders are readers. God instructed the Jews that the Book of Law must remain before them continually. Read the rest of this entry

Give Up!

Isa.40:30 “Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

You just have to wait on the Lord. The word “wait” in today’s Scripture reference is a complex word and it means to hope, to trust, to be entangled with, a sense of dependence on God. Waiting on God can include fasting but it is beyond fasting. Read the rest of this entry

Access Card

Rev.4:1 Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.” [with emphasis]

No matter how high you are, no matter what level you are in God, there is always a higher level in God. Some people claim to be on the mountain consistently or have all the spiritual inoculations and so they do not need to engage in spiritual practices to go up higher. Read the rest of this entry

Giver or Gift?

Ps.127:1 [KJV] “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchmen waketh but in vain”

The God Will Do It Again service is one of our special services in God’s Favourite House. For us it is a season of letting go in the place of waiting, stepping up our prayers and praise, and letting God do what only He can do. Read the rest of this entry
