His Story
2 Corinthians 4:5 “Our message is NOT about ourselves. It is about Jesus Christ as the Lord. We are merely your servants for Jesus’ sake.” (GW, emphasis added)
How do I defeat discouragement? Paul’s first secret is Never Forget How Much God Loves You. Paul’s second secret is Do Not Fake It. Paul’s third secret is Remember It Is Not About You. This is huge. Read the rest of this entry
Adopt Humility
Philip. 2:4-5 “Get beyond yourselves and protecting your own interests; be sincere, and secure your neighbours’ interests first. In other words, adopt the mind-set of Jesus the Anointed. Live with His attitude in your hearts…” (Voice).
Philip. 2:3-4 “Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.” God says, you and I are to think of other people as better than we are and this is a Read the rest of this entry
Let It Flow!
Lu.22:27 “Who is more important, the one who sits at the table or the one who serves? The one who sits at the table, of course. But not here! For I am among you as one who serves.” (emphasis added).
Even among the disciples Jesus had to deal with the matter of humility. Lu.22:24 -26 “Then they began to argue among themselves about who would be the greatest among them. Jesus told them, “In this world the kings and great men lord it over their people, yet they are called ‘friends of the people.’ But among you it will be different. Those who are the greatest among you should take the lowest rank, and the leader should be like a servant.” Read the rest of this entry
Humble Your Heart
James 4:10 “Humble yourselves in the Lord’s presence. Then he will give you a high position, and he will make you great.” [GW & ERV]
I humble myself because God resists the proud. I humble myself because God gives grace to the humble. Humble yourself because it is the key to your lifting. Humble yourself because it is the key to your promotion. Read the rest of this entry
Humble Yourself
James 4:10 “Lay yourself bare, facedown to the ground, in humility before the Lord; and He will lift your head so you can stand tall.” [Voice].
Being humble is non-negotiable for a child of God. God does not overlook it. If you are going to have and sustain a walk with God, then you need to know that God does not overlook matters of humility. If you miss the Word, you will not miss the rod. Read the rest of this entry
Your Shepherd
1 Peter 2:25 “Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.”
What would you consider the greatest sacrifice you can make? Can you die for anyone? There is someone who died for us, He is the great Shepherd who lays His life down for the sheep. That is a big part of our study for the next few days. Read the rest of this entry
Love Speaks
John 7:49-51 “This foolish crowd follows him, but they are ignorant of the law. God’s curse is on them!” Then Nicodemus, the leader who had met with Jesus earlier, spoke up. “Is it legal to convict a man before he is given a hearing?” he asked.”
If you love Jesus, you will speak up for Him just like Nicodemus spoke up for Jesus. You need to speak up for Jesus. Speak up for Jesus because God needs your voice to reach the people around you who are far from Him. We speak up for the people we love. Read the rest of this entry
Nothing Except
John 3:27 “John replied, “A man can receive nothing [he can claim nothing at all] unless it has been granted to him from heaven [for there is no other source than the sovereign will of God].” (AMP, emphasis added).
A man [born again or not] can receive nothing, except it is given to him from above. Yesterday we looked at the first two implications of this statement. The first implication is, Look To God And God Alone As Your Source. Read the rest of this entry

Luke 12:33 (NKJV) “Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
If you understand that your eternal home is your real home, you will look forward to eternity in heaven and that will change your perspective on many things. Read the rest of this entry
Accept It!
Philip.2:6 “Though he was God he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.”
We can learn three things from Jesus, our perfect example of humility from the story in Philip.2:6-11 [please read]. The first learning is, I Am Humble When I Accept That God Knows More Than I Do. Read the rest of this entry
