Equipped!

Ps.124:2 (KJV) If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us 3 Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us… 6 Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.”

It is truly alarming how some people depend on the approval of other human beings. There are people that just want people to like them and they are willing to do anything to secure that. Read the rest of this entry

In Love

Eph.4:15 “Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.”

The truth is that a lot of our loved ones that we have spent years talking to about Christ, are actually blind. They are blind to The Truth so they cannot receive the good news that you bring.

Cheap Candy

Prov. 18:7 (MSG) “Fools are undone by their big mouths; their souls are crushed by their words. Listening to gossip is like eating cheap candy; do you really want junk like that in your belly?”

You have to make sure that gossip has no place in your life. I strongly believe that not everyone that goes around gossiping is evil; some are, but most of them are just idle and ignorant.

Who’s Throne?

Philip. 4:“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”

There will always be things that will try to take control of your heart and try to be God in your life. The truth is that when anything or anyone gains controlling position of your life, the first commandment is broken. Read the rest of this entry

Pre-Conditions?

Ex.20:3 “You must not have any other god but me.”

When we begin to flirt with ideas that the enemy wants us to flirt with, we open our hearts to compromise. When you toy with the idea of keeping secrets, you are asking for trouble. Read the rest of this entry

The Spirit

Lu.10:25 “One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?” [with emphasis]

It is interesting that when Jesus was asked about eternal life, Jesus pointed the scholar to The Law of Moses. If the law irrelevant, it cannot deliver eternal life. Sadly, this is where a lot of Christians get things mixed up. Read the rest of this entry

By Blood

Gal.4:6 [ERV] “Since you are now God’s children, He has sent the Spirit of His Son into your hearts. The Spirit cries out, “Abba, Father.”

The abundance of God can only come by inheritance. You and I have to be in the lineage of God to inherit eternal life. We have to be aligned with God. The Jews believe that they are the children of Abraham and therefore, children of God. Read the rest of this entry

Endless Love

Lu.10: 25 “One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?”

Even though the expert in religious law had a very questionable motive, the question he asked was very significant regardless of his motive. Jesus focused on the question and provided for you and I what has the potential to totally change our lives. Read the rest of this entry

Proper Perception

Prov. 29:25 (GN) “It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of you…”

If your waking thoughts are about what this person or that person thinks about you, then Scripture says that you are treading a dangerous path. Some people are just unpleasable; accept it and live with it. Fact number two: I do not have to please everyone; so you do not have to please everyone. Read the rest of this entry

Arise!

Prov. 22:29 (LB) “Do you know a hard-working man? He shall be successful and stand before kings!” [with emphasis]

Today, I will start you off with some shocking background stories to the success stories a lot of us celebrate and wish for today. Oprah Winfrey was fired as a television presenter; they said she was not good enough. Today, she owns her television network. So you got fired –big deal! Turn it around. Michael Jordan’s high school basketball coach said he was not good enough to play basketball. Michael Jordan went ahead to win Read the rest of this entry
