Not As Humans

2 Cor.6:7…We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense.

Over the past few weeks, we spent a lot of time laying a foundation and establishing the building blocks to fight and gain victory. Over the next few days we will be looking at the weapons of our warfare. Read the rest of this entry

Total Picture

Neh.4:14 Then as I looked over the situation, I called together the nobles and the rest of the people and said to them, “Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!

“…Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!” [with emphasis]. Read the rest of this entry

Baseline

Josh. 5:13 “…Joshua …looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with sword in hand. Joshua went up to him and demanded, “Are you friend or foe?” 14 “Neither one,” he replied. “I am the commander of the Lord’s army.” …“I am at your command,” Joshua said…”

There are certain baselines you need to understand before you fight. The first is, you cannot fight if you do not take sides. In every warfare, you have to be on one side. People that are on the fence suffer blows from both sides of the war and thus have the most casualties. Read the rest of this entry

Armed & Dangerous

Mark 3:27 Let me illustrate this further. Who is powerful enough to enter the house of a strong man and plunder his goods? Only someone even stronger—someone who could tie him up and then plunder his house.

When you enter the house of a strong man, you have to deal with the strong man first before you plunder and take possession of his goods. Read the rest of this entry

From Not For?

Matt. 11:12 (NKJV) And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

For you to take delivery of your destiny, you have to engage in purposeful violent conflict that will drive the opposition away from a place where it is not wanted or needed. Read the rest of this entry

Gaining & Sustaining Victory

Jude 1:24 [KJV] Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.”

We gain lasting victory by turning to Jesus. When you are consumed by the love of Jesus, believe me, everything else fades away. The things that used to control you in the past, lose their hold on you because you have turned to a new love from the old love. Read the rest of this entry

Un-Afraid

Rom.8:31 “What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?”

There is a difference between fear and danger; you and I must realize this difference. You can be afraid when there is no danger and you can be in danger and not be afraid. Haven’t you seen a child standing on the ledge of a building un-afraid? Even though the child is in danger, the child is not afraid. A person can be afraid and not be in danger. So you need to differentiate between the two.

Take the story of these cartoon characters, Tom [the cat] and Jerry [the mouse]. Jerry does not fear Tom and that is why he can go Read the rest of this entry

Predetermined

“For the Lord your God is going with you! He will fight for you against your enemies, and he will give you the victory!” Deut.20:4 [TLB]

Years ago, a friend of mine came into the country and as he settled into his apartment, he noticed there was a football match on television. Communication back then was not as it is now. It was a match  between Nigeria and Brazil. And Brazil scored the first two goals and he started shouting at the players. In the second half, Nigeria scored their first goal and by the time Nigeria scored the second goal, he started shouting again. But he noticed that the whole neighborhood Read the rest of this entry

Think On These

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise” Phil.4:8

Today, we will start off with the story of a man called Tom Monaghan. I pray that the Holy Spirit will open your heart to the importance of speed and give you speed also, in Jesus Name. Tom Monaghan was a pizza delivery boy for an Italian pizza outfit in the U.S. And he observed that whenever he delivered the pizza, his customers were not happy. The customers were always on edge and this Read the rest of this entry

Invaluable Lessons

“The wise store up treasure and oil, but fools spend whatever they get” Prov.21:20

Great leaders know how to look at an opportunity and immediately determine whether they are going to take it or not. Why? Critical resources are scarce. You do not have all the resources to take all the opportunities. So if you take one opportunity you are going to miss another. The first principle of economics is that critical resources are scarce. Time is scarce. No matter how Read the rest of this entry
