“To God” “From Idols”
1Thess.1:9 (NIV) “…They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God” [with emphasis].
Can you identify the order that is outlined in today’s scriptural reference? God’s Word says turn to God from idols. In the original [in the Greek], it actually emphasizes the fact that you are not turning from idols to God, instead you turn to God from idols. Read the rest of this entry
Superior Intelligence
Heb.11:9 “And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise.”
Too many people benchmark God’s will with ease but the proof of God’s will is peace and not ease. God’s Word does not say it will always be easy. God’s Word says it will always be peaceful. Step Up Lesson 4
Gen.18:12 “So she laughed silently to herself and said, “How could a worn-out woman like me enjoy such pleasure, especially when my master—my husband—is also so old?” [with emphasis].

Active Faith
Heb.11:6 “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him”
God wants us to Step Up in different areas of our lives. We have looked at how to step up financially and spiritually. Mark 12:43-44 (MSG) “ Jesus called his disciples over and said, “The truth is that this poor widow gave more to the collection than all the others put together. All the others gave what they’ll never miss; she gave extravagantly what she couldn’t afford—she gave her all.”
To Step Up financially, you need to Earn Some, Spend Less, Save More, No Loss, Invest More, Give More and finally, Faith It. For you to Step Up financially, you have to faith it and not fake it. Faith is giving what you do not have. Read the rest of this entry

Watch Out!

As you step out in obedience and Earn Some, there are three things that you need to pay attention to and watch out for. The first thing you have to watch out for is Greed. Own Up & Be Yourself
Ps.139:14 “Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous – how well I know it”
You cannot step up if you do not own up. Regardless of how much you have failed, Jesus is inviting you to step up. Regardless of how much success you have had, Jesus is inviting you to step up. But you cannot step up if you do not own up. Read the rest of this entry
