His Sheep

Isa.30: 21 Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.

Ps. 23:2He makes me lie down in green pastures…” Making the sheep lie down is compelling the sheep to lie down in green pastures.

All Inclusive

Rom.10:11 “…Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” 12 Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him.13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Over the next few days we are going to be studying Luke 10:25-37 [please read]. Choose to let God’s Word renew you and unlock your bowels of compassion.

Most Crucial

Jer.29: 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

The world tends to focus on people’s reputation but character is who you are when nobody is watching. Many people are so bothered about what people think, say, and perceive about them. Read the rest of this entry

Assessment

Matt.16:26 “And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?”

Please study Matt.19:16-30. As we study this portion of Scripture in detail, I believe that the Holy Spirit will brood over us, and birth vision in our lives and nothing that God has put in our hands will perish, in Jesus Name. Read the rest of this entry

Love Truly

Rom.8:31 “What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?”

A kidnapper says, “You are mine” on the basis of power. A lover says, “You are mine” on the basis of affection. You may submit to raw power but you will never love raw power. When a servant hears, “You are mine”, do you know it creates a different set of emotions than when a child hears, “You are mine?” What goes through the servant’s mind when he hears, “You are mine” is probably, ‘one day I will get my freedom and I too will become a master.’ But the child will also say to the father or mother, “You are my daddy or Mummy!” The emotions and the responses are always different based on the relationship. Reciprocal

Ex.20:2 I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery. 3 “You must not have any other god but me.

When a kidnapper says to someone ‘you are mine’, the person feels resentment, feels trapped and all the person wants is to escape. Unfortunately, that is how a lot of people are relating with God and with The Law [The Ten Commandments]. We relate with God like we relate with a kidnapper because that is what we have been taught. Interestingly, even with the people who are peddling grace at the expense of truth, if you really listen to their message, they are like prisoners because they see it as entrapment. However, people who are married can relate to what I am about to say next (and for those who are yet to be married, you are going to know this feeling very soon, in Jesus Name): When the bride is taken to the altar, the summary of what happens there is the groom saying, ‘I want you to be mine!’ And the brides response being, ‘I do! in other words means, I want you to be mine too!’ Read the rest of this entry

The Son’s Heart

Matt.6:10 “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” [KJV]

Every Son knows the ordinance of His Father [the ways of the Father]. Remember when Jesus was tempted in the wilderness and satan said to Him, “If you are the Son of God [you know the ordinance of heaven], turn these stones into bread”. But Jesus said, “It is written, man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word…” What Jesus was saying in essence is, “Even though there is a formula to turn stones into bread, it is not the heart of the Father for Me to turn stones into bread”. I hope you get this.

Cultivate

Ps.119:164 “Seven times each day I stop and shout praises for the way you keep everything running right” [MSG]

Yesterday we learnt that Mary often played back her experiences with God. And I shared with you one of the practical exercises that I used to do back in the day to help me focus on God’s Presence. I literally punctuated my day with thoughts of God and talking to the Holy Spirit and it changed my life totally. Refocusing on God every thirty-minutes may not be feasible for you so you can do it hourly.

There is no way you can focus so much on God, enjoy the tangible Presence of God and have high blood pressure. What I have Read the rest of this entry

Amen!

Lam.3:37 Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not? [KJV]

Who is it that says you will not fulfill your destiny and you are afraid, when God has not said it? Who can command things to happen without the Lord’s permission? Num.23:23 No curse can touch Jacob; no magic has any power against Israel. For now it will be said of Jacob, ‘What wonders God has done for Israel!’ Personalize it, replace Jacob in this Scripture with your own name and take the Scripture back to God.

As You Align

“‘Well done!’ the king exclaimed. ‘You are a good servant. You have been faithful with the little I entrusted to you, so you will be governor of ten cities as your reward.’ Luke 19:17

A research by Stanford University revealed that, “The ability to function effectively in a crisis is the most important single quality of a great leader”. They discovered that the ability to deal with crisis could not be taught in classrooms but only in crisis situations. They said there is no case study that can be used to teach crisis management. And if there is one thing that is constant in leadership, it is Read the rest of this entry
