Responses II
Matt.12:11-12 “Jesus said, “If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a PIT on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? How much more valuable is a man than a sheep!” (NIV, emphasis added).
How do the five major world views [religions] respond if one falls into a dip pit? Yesterday, we looked at three responses. Buddha says, it is your karma. Mohammed says, you violated the law of Allah. Hindus say, the pit does not exist, it is an illusion, it is in your mind. Read the rest of this entry
Divine Encounter
1 Sam. 1:17-18 “In that case,” Eli said, “go in peace! May the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of him.” “Oh, thank you, sir!” she exclaimed. Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad.”
Please read 1sam.1:12-18. Heb. 11:1 “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” What makes it possible to move from God must help me to the point that you know that the help is here already? Read the rest of this entry
He Will
Luke 11:10 “For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”
If God does not help you, will you take the position of the persistent widow or will you opt for help from another? Do you have a back-up plan or is God your only option? A single lady said to God, “You know I have been a good girl all these years. Read the rest of this entry
Quality Help
Ps. 121:1-2 “I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!”
Beauty for ashes is a way of saying that God will do in your life a glorious transformation. Situations that appear hopeless, situations that appear useless, situations that appear frustrating, Read the rest of this entry
Surplus
Isa. 35:6-7 “The lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot speak will sing for joy! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams will water the wasteland. The parched ground will become a pool, and springs of water will satisfy the thirsty land…”
God is a God of abundance. Lack [poverty] is inconsistent with the nature of God. Check the Bible, every time God had to meet a need, He goes over and above even when it is not necessary. Read the rest of this entry
The New, The Overflow
Luke 5:37-38 “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the new wine would burst the wineskins, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine must be stored in new wineskins.”
Get excited because God is taking away ‘The Old’ in order to establish ‘The New’. God is on your side and God is all that you need. For someone today, God Himself is giving you a new name. The Lord God is giving you a new name. Read the rest of this entry
Intimately
Acts 3:25 “You are the children of those prophets, and you are included in the covenant God promised to your ancestors. For God said to Abraham, ‘Through your descendants all the families on earth will be blessed.’ 26 When God raised up his servant, Jesus… to bless you…”
The second prophecy we considered is, the Messiah will be the descendant of Abraham and through Him all the nations of the earth will be blessed. Yesterday we saw the prophecy and we saw its fulfillment in scripture. Read the rest of this entry
Blessed Assurance
Isa. 54:10 (GN) “The mountains and hills may crumble but My love for you will never end, so says the Lord who loves you.”
For us to live a life of gratitude where we are able to genuinely and consistently say “thank You Lord”, we must experience three dimensions of freedom – Jesus Christ must set us free from the pain of the past, Read the rest of this entry
Habitation
Ps.27:4 (TPT) “…the one thing I seek above all else: I want the privilege of living with him every moment in his house, finding the sweet loveliness of his face, filled with awe, delighting in his glory and grace. I want to live my life so close to him that he takes pleasure in my every prayer.”
I see myself as God’s boy, God’s sheep and freedom for the sheep does not mean running away from the shepherd. In fact, the sheep is only free when it is with the shepherd. We learnt yesterday that one of the major keys to walking in freedom is the presence of the Spirit of Christ. Read the rest of this entry
God’s Decree!
Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor …to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, 19 and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.” 21 “The Scripture… has been fulfilled this very day!”
For everyone that has come into God’s presence with a sickness in the body, I want you to lay your hands on that part of your body and command the sickness and pain out of your body. Read the rest of this entry
