Your Response, IV

Psalm 34:5 “Look to Him and shine, so shame will never contort your faces.” (Voice)

We will kick off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday which is that where you look determines what flows to you. Follow Him

Luke 4:1 “Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness”

I can give you loads and loads of examples from my personal life, where the Holy Spirit gave very clear instructions such as stop, now go, tell them this amount, once you tell them this amount keep quiet. It never ever gets old! Years ago, I was coming from a night vigil with people in my car. Read the rest of this entry

Led

Acts 8:29 “Philip received another prompting from the Holy Spirit: Holy Spirit: Go over to the chariot and climb on board.” (Voice)

If I listen to the Holy Spirit and let Him be my guide, the Holy Spirit will help me know what I need to know, and the Holy Spirit will help me get where I need to go. Like we said yesterday, do not be afraid to hear from God because you think He might just tell you to do something crazy. Read the rest of this entry

The Connect

1 Kings 18:42 “So Ahab went to eat and drink. But Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees.”

In the Words of Ricky Dillard’s song Release, ‘The heavens are open, His Spirit is flowing. Whatever you need, whatever you need.’ By God’s grace, we are in a season of Open Heavens; I am confident that certain people who have been operating under sealed heavens, Read the rest of this entry

Wait & Watch

The Place

Ps.5:1-3 “O Lord, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for I pray to no one but you. Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.”

Prayer is the place of admitting our need. Prayer is the place of adopting humility. Prayer is the place of claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the practice of God’s presence. Jesus said to His disciples, “when you pray say, Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name….” Read the rest of this entry

Three & Two

Isa.43:18-19 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. (NIV, emphasis added)

Yesterday, we said that from this scripture, we see three things and two outcomes. Understanding these things is key for the next chapter. The first thing is, Do Not Dwell On The Past – forget the former things. Read the rest of this entry

Take Position

Jer. 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

The first Christmas was when Jesus was born physically on earth. Now, if you examine the first Christmas, you will realize that it is not like Christmas today, in the sense that not many people knew about it. Just very few people celebrated the first Christmas and were blessed. Read the rest of this entry
