Growth Stages
1 Cor.13:11 (TLB) “It’s like this: when I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child does. But when I became a man my thoughts grew far beyond those of my childhood, and now I have put away the childish things.”
God is not only with you, God is for you; so you do not have to wait for things to be perfect before you are happy. You do not have to be perfect for God to love you, but God loves you too much to leave you the way you are. Read the rest of this entry
Beta Release
Eccl. 8:6 (GN)“There is a right time and a right way to do everything but we know so little.” [with emphasis]
There is a right time and a right place to do everything. Do not waste your time and do not waste your energy. There are a few things that we need to know about time and energy. The first is that Time is finite and a constant. Energy, even though finite is a variable. You have twenty-four hours in a day and you have the same amount of energy. If you exercise and eat Read the rest of this entry
Different Nature
Matt.16:25 “If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.”
The second shift you and I need to make in order to have the right perspective is to work like the Lord. Working like Jesus means putting other people ahead of you and getting excited about making them successful. Read the rest of this entry
Classroom
Luke 16:10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can be trusted with much…”
God wants us to work; work is God’s idea and work is a tool He uses to supply our needs. The third reason why God wants us to work is because work develops our character. God uses work as a testing ground for us. Read the rest of this entry
Boast In These
Jer.9:24 “But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!”
Job 38:2 “Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words? 3 Brace yourself like a man, because I have some questions for you, and you must answer them.” How does one boast when his or her ignorance is revealed? Read the rest of this entry
Knowing & Understanding
Isa.53:4 “Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. 5 But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.”
I pray that the whipping that Jesus took on the cross will not be in vain in your life. I also pray that the turmoil and storms in your life will be still. Read the rest of this entry
Up There!
Rev.4:1 “Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.” [with emphasis]
God is calling you to come up so that you can hear what He is hearing. There are things that you need to hear that cannot be heard from down there. There are things that can only be heard from up there. Read the rest of this entry
Come Up Here
Rev.4:1 “Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.” [with emphasis]
God wants us to step up spiritually. The first thing and a major key to stepping up spiritually that stands out from today’s Scripture reference is “…the same voice I had heard before spoke to me…” This points to the fact that there has to be an existing relationship before you can begin to step up spiritually. Whose Are You?
Ps.100:3 [ERV] “Know that the Lord is God. He made us, and we belong to him. We are his people, the sheep he takes care of.”
You are young only once but you can remain immature for life. Even spiritually, you are young only once. Sadly, there are people that are thirty years old spiritually but immature. Meanwhile, some people, barely two years after getting saved, reach maturity. Read the rest of this entry
For His Glory
Ex.23:30 [Voice] “Rather, I will drive them out a little at a time—a few here, a few there—until your numbers grow and you are strong enough to take over the land and its care.”
Your growth is linked to your destiny. If you do not grow, if you do not increase in capacity, you cannot fulfill your destiny. Even though God was fighting for the nation of Israel, He still did not drive out all their enemies at once. Read the rest of this entry
