Just The Beginning

Zech.4:10 Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand” [emphasis added].

The plumb line is the tool of your trade. We all have a plumb line. What is your plumb line? Chalk would be the plumb line for someone who is a teacher. A doctor’s plumb line would probably the stethoscope. For people who are into software, their plumb line would most likely be their computer. God needs to see the plumb line your hands. The Bible says, “…the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line…”

Go!

Haggai 2:7 I will shake all the nations, and the treasures of all the nations will be brought to this Temple. I will fill this place with glory, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”

Today we will kick off with our closing thought from yesterday, which is holding on to what God has placed a demand on renders that thing useless to you. Take the principle of tithing for instance, whoever decides to keep God’s ten percent will not only lose that ten percent, the person will end up losing everything. That is just how it works. Anything you do not honor God with becomes labeled for destruction. That is how it works.

Get To Work!

Isa.40:29 He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.

The world has no sympathy for the weak. The only place where your weakness is valuable is in the Presence of God. That is the only place where, when we are weak, we are made strong. It is in His Presence that we can exchange our weakness for His strength. “Unto him that overcometh”, this phrase is repeated a couple of times in the Book of Revelations. The Bible does not have any message directed toward him that is defeated. That is very instructive to us. You have to be strong. Yes it is tough but you have to be strong Read the rest of this entry

Get Up!

Once after a sacrificial meal at Shiloh, Hannah got up and went to pray. Eli the priest was sitting at his customary place beside the entrance of the Tabernacle” 1 Sam.1:9

Hannah did not allow the lame consolation of Elkanah dampen her pursuit. Hannah did not allow the “deceitful” portion of choice to deceive her into abandoning her pursuit and make her to begin to eat. Some people, even though they are believing God for something, will opt out of corporate spiritual movements because they do not want to stress themselves. Come on! Can you not hold God’s hands Read the rest of this entry

Beyond Pain

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled” Matt.5:6 [NIV, emphasis added]

The third pain Hannah experienced was the pain of portion of choice. “And though he loved Hannah, he would give her only one choice portion because the Lord had given her no children1 Sam.1:5. The portion of choice is like double portion. Elkanah gave the others one portion but reserves the best portion for Hannah. And Read the rest of this entry

You Don’t Lose

How foolish can you be? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?” Gal.3:3.

“Oh, foolish Galatians! Who has cast an evil spell on you? For the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death was made as clear to you as if you had seen a picture of his death on the cross” Gal.3:1. When we take our eyes off Jesus, when He ceases to be enough for us, we’ll find ourselves going back to the things He delivered us from. The Bible says ye are gods, so let us Read the rest of this entry

Hear His Word

‘…and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice’ John 10:3-4.

It is important that you hear God in this season and I am confident that some of us are hearing God already. It is important to hear God for yourself because it will determine which way you will go or who you will follow. Again I am praying over you, you will hear God clearly, in Jesus Name. While Moses will hear from God directly, Aaron would just run with what Moses told him. When Aaron was under pressure, he built a golden Read the rest of this entry

Heart Check V

‘So Samuel did as the Lord instructed. When he arrived at Bethlehem, the elders of the town came trembling to meet him. “What’s wrong?” they asked. “Do you come in peace?” “Yes,” Samuel replied’ 1 Sam.16:4.

Think about it, who anointed David king? The number one prophet in the land, Samuel sent by God. This same Samuel was feared within and outside of Israel. Samuel was such a powerful man of God that the Bible says that in the days of Samuel, the philistines did not attack Israel. You know why? They tried and Samuel engaged the supernatural and the philistines were hearing the voice of God. The Bible says there was confusion in their midst and Read the rest of this entry
