Prized Possession
Isa. 49:15-16 “Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you! See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem’s walls in ruins.”
I am confident that the God of heaven, The One that can open, and no one can shut, will open the heavens over your life in the Name of Jesus. It is important for you to say ‘Amen’ because this is like a spiritual transaction. God will do His part, but you have to do your part. Read the rest of this entry
Be Renewed
1 Cor.9:26-27 “I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything I’ve got. No sloppy living for me! I’m staying alert and in top condition. I’m not going to get caught napping . . .” (MSG)
When it comes to Church, we do a lot of spiritual work and it is great because everything stems from the spiritual. We do a little bit more on the mental side, but we do not do much on the body side. Read the rest of this entry
Advocate I
John 16:7 “…I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counsellor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you].” (AMP].
If you had the option of physically having Jesus with you everywhere you go, be your friend, solving your problems, and returning to the sender all the arrows fired at you. Or having the Holy Ghost with you, which will you choose? Most people will want Jesus with them physically. Read the rest of this entry
Responses II
Matt.12:11-12 “Jesus said, “If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a PIT on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? How much more valuable is a man than a sheep!” (NIV, emphasis added).
How do the five major world views [religions] respond if one falls into a dip pit? Yesterday, we looked at three responses. Buddha says, it is your karma. Mohammed says, you violated the law of Allah. Hindus say, the pit does not exist, it is an illusion, it is in your mind. Read the rest of this entry
Set Time!
Rev. 10:6 “He swore an oath in the name of the one who lives forever and ever, who created the heavens and everything in them, the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it. He said, “There will be no more delay”
Isa.61:1 “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me…” (emphasis added). The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon you [say Amen]. The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord; sovereign means God does not need permission from anyone to promote you and no one can query Him. Read the rest of this entry
The Rod & The Staff
Ps.23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” [NKJV, with emphasis].
Today, we return to our study in Psalm 23. What made David so strong? We started to answer this question a few days ago; the first thing we pointed out was God’s presence. The presence of God is key to security. Read the rest of this entry
Classroom
Luke 16:10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can be trusted with much…”
God wants us to work; work is God’s idea and work is a tool He uses to supply our needs. The third reason why God wants us to work is because work develops our character. God uses work as a testing ground for us. Read the rest of this entry
Key
Luke 1: 46 “…Oh, how my soul praises the Lord. 47 How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! 48 For he took notice of his lowly servant girl, and from now on all generations will call me blessed. 49 For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me”
Do not live an ordinary life and do not be afraid of God using you. A lot of you reading this today are really powerful but you cannot continue to do nothing. I pray that you will change today, in Jesus Name. You need to stretch yourself even in your giving. You cannot continue to give only what you are comfortable with; stretch yourself! If you only give what is comfortable then how can you see the miraculous? I always stretch my giving. There were seasons in my life that my wife thought I was crazy but now we are on the same page in giving. As a church, we always stretch our giving.
Step Out
Luke 1: 38 “Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” And then the angel left her”
Miracles only happen outside of your comfort zone. I think you should write that down. Miracles happen only outside of your comfort zone. Miracles do not happen in your comfort zone. Take fasting for instance; each time I have to wait on God, I am deliberate about pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Do you know that it is possible to fast and remain in your comfort zone? And nothing would have shifted. You have to always push yourself out of the comfort zone because that is where miracles happen.
Some people are too complacent. They will kick and fight against anything that attempts to take them out of their comfort zone. Guess what? If you want to see the miraculous Read the rest of this entry
