Slow Down

Galatians 6:9 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

When should I move slowly? When I Do Not Have All The Facts and When I Am Hurt, Angry, or Depressed (H.A.D.). The third time I should move slowly is When I Am Making A Major Decision. Proverbs 21:29Wicked people bluff their way (through life), Read the rest of this entry

Deuteronomy 30:19 “Today I am giving you a choice of two ways. And I ask heaven and earth to be witnesses of your choice. You can choose life or death. The first choice will bring a blessing. The other choice will bring a curse. So choose life! Then you and your children will live. (ERV)

We will pick up today’s devotion from Revelation 3:7-8 I hold the Key of David in my hand. The doors that I unlock and open, no one else can close. And any doors that I shut and lock, no one will ever be able to open. Now I know everything you have done. So look! I am placing before you an open door that no one can shut! I know that you are not very strong, but you’ve kept my word and you’ve been faithful to me.” (CEV, paraphrased with emphasis). Read the rest of this entry

Calculate

Luke 14:28 “But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?”

Live your life in such a way that you are underestimated. People underestimate me a lot and I love it. If you do not have your self-worth in place, when people underestimate you, you will feel insulted and feel you need to make a point. No, you do not. Read the rest of this entry

Rise Up

Phil.3:12-13 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me …one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead” (NIV, emphasis added).

In Preparation

Hab. 2:1 “I will take my place at the watchtower. I will stand at my post and watch. I will watch and see what He says to me. I need to think about how I should respond to Him when He gets back to me with His answer.” (Voice)

Thank God for His kindness over us and it is our prayer that God will breathe upon us and change our lives even as He speaks His Word to us. Take It Back, I

Ps.43:4 “There I will go to the altar of God, to God—the source of all my joy. I will praise you with my harp, O God, my God!”

The Price

Mark 15:34 “And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (NKJV)

Jesus’ first Words on the cross were, “Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing”. The second Words on the cross were, “I say to you, you will be with me in paradise”. The third Words on the cross were, “woman behold your son”. Read the rest of this entry
