Sometimes, we think we know what we are doing. Or maybe we think that we are just going through the motions, so we do not really consider what we are doing as weighty. Mysterious
Job 11:7-8 “Can you solve the mysteries of God? Can you discover everything about the Almighty? Such knowledge is higher than the heavens—and who are you? It is deeper than the underworld—what do you know?
We are still contemplating the subject of prayer. However, over the next few days, we will be looking at the mysteries of prayer. Have you found prayer to be mysterious? Why Pray?
Luke 11:9-10 “…keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Why do we pray? We pray because God commands us to pray. We pray because prayer empowers us to resist temptation. We pray because we depend on God. We pray because we love Him. We pray because God loves us. Read the rest of this entry
