Like A Seed
Luke 13:18-19 “…Do you want to understand the kingdom of God? Do you want Me to tell you what it’s like? It’s like a single mustard seed that someone took and planted in his garden. That tiny seed grew and became a tree so large that the birds could fly in and make their nests…” (Voice)
Yesterday we learnt that the money given to the servants was both a gift and a seed. Similarly, the gifts and wealth that God gives to us is just a seed and it is what we do with it that determines our future. My mind immediately goes to the servants that wrapped up the money and did not do anything with it. Read the rest of this entry

Luke 19:12-13 “He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.” (KJV, emphasis added).
Our text over the next few days is from Luke 19:11-13 (KJV), Luke 19:15-26 (NLT), please read. The first thing we are told is that Jesus was near to Jerusalem, meaning Jesus was approaching the cross, the time He would leave His disciples and lay down His life. Read the rest of this entry
Fruit
John 19:11 “Then Jesus said, “You would have no power over me at all unless it were given to you from above…”
Yesterday, we talked about the glory confusion in the Church and how a lot of people are embracing shame because of ignorance. We need to understand that a man can have nothing except that which is given from above neither power nor glory. Read the rest of this entry
Unity & Glory
Rom. 15:6 “In this unity, you will share one voice as you glorify the one True God, the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, our Liberating King.” (Voice]
If in the few hours He had left, Jesus thought it important to pray for unity in the Church, then it is worthy of focus. What I say to my friends, my colleagues, my seniors in ministry is that, ‘we do not have to agree on all the minors. Read the rest of this entry
God’s Gift
John 11:4 “But when Jesus heard about it he said, “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.” (emphasis added)
Jesus’ statement is very profound. If you are a child of God, you can safely conclude that what you are going through will not end in death. What you are going through will end in God’s glory. Am I saying that people will not die? Of course not. Read the rest of this entry
Saviour
John 5:14 “But afterward Jesus found him in the Temple and told him, “Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even worse may happen to you.” (emphasis added).
This man had been crippled for thirty-eight years, so what sin was he committing? Lust, greed, anger maybe; bitterness against the people that were supposed to help him but did not help him. Maybe jealousy against the people that got into the water first. Read the rest of this entry
The Path
John 2:11 “This miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was the first time Jesus revealed his glory. And his disciples believed in him.”
John 2:9-10 “When the master of ceremonies tasted the water that was now wine, not knowing where it had come from (though, of course, the servants knew), he called the bridegroom over. “A host always serves the best wine first,” he said. “Then, when everyone has had a lot to drink, he brings out the less expensive wine. But you have kept the best until now!” (NRSV, emphasis added). Every time people look at your life and say, “We thought we had seen your best, but this is even better!” Read the rest of this entry
Life Light
Jn.1:4 “The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.”
Dabar, God’s Word, gives life and that life brings light. It is not the other way around; we will like to have light first before we put life into a situation. But God puts His life and His life brings the light. In Gen.1, in the beginning the earth was without form and void, Read the rest of this entry
The How
Ps.9:1-2 “I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvellous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.”
It is one thing to know ‘why’ you should do something, but it is a totally different thing to know ‘how’. Our focus today is on how to live a life of thanksgiving to God. The first way is to thank God by Singing From Your Heart. Can the tone of your voice give your expression a different meaning? Certainly. God says sing from your heart; meaning, every time you show up before God, alone or in a crowd, God wants you to sing from your heart. Read the rest of this entry
