Sons Not Orphans
Gen.2: 19 “So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one.”
We work because work is God’s idea. People like to paint a picture of paradise as a place where people are just sitting around, eating everything but not working. Remember the Garden of Eden? Read the rest of this entry
Why?
Jn.15:13 “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
Knowing “Why” is very important. We must never forget or overlook “why”. Usually the difference between the Christian that will go the distance and the one that will drop off, is one person knows “why” and the other person has forgotten “why”. Read the rest of this entry
Gaining & Sustaining Victory
Jude 1:24 [KJV] “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.”
We gain lasting victory by turning to Jesus. When you are consumed by the love of Jesus, believe me, everything else fades away. The things that used to control you in the past, lose their hold on you because you have turned to a new love from the old love. Read the rest of this entry
Step Up Lesson 1
Gen.4:3 “When it was time for the harvest, Cain presented some of his crops as a gift to the Lord. 4 Abel also brought a gift—the best portions of the firstborn lambs from his flock. The Lord accepted Abel and his gift, 5 but he did not accept Cain and his gift…”
Cain must have thought, after all, the cattle on a thousand hills belong to God so He really does not need anything. So Cain gives God a shabby offering and moves on. But the Bible says that God had no respect for Cain and for his offering. Read the rest of this entry
Higher Still
1 Tim. 6:10 “For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.” [with emphasis]
It is crowded at the bottom; there is a lot of confusion and limited visibility. At the bottom is where contention and strife thrive. There are certain advantages you cannot take at the bottom. Read the rest of this entry

Acts 2:46 “They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— 47 all the while praising God…”
Relationships: You are the average of the three people that you spend the most time with. If you spend most of your time with people that are not going anywhere, guess what? Over time you will be the third person that is not going anywhere. Read the rest of this entry
Come Up Here
Rev.4:1 “Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.” [with emphasis]
God wants us to step up spiritually. The first thing and a major key to stepping up spiritually that stands out from today’s Scripture reference is “…the same voice I had heard before spoke to me…” This points to the fact that there has to be an existing relationship before you can begin to step up spiritually. Pure Joy I
Ps. 16:11 (VOICE) “Instead, You direct me on the path that leads to a beautiful life. As I walk with You, the pleasures are never-ending, and I know true joy and contentment.”
The joy that is in the Kingdom is in the Holy Spirit and in walking with God. It is as we get into God and into our relationship with Him that we get into His life and experience His joy. Like it is stated in today’s Scripture reference, as you walk with God, the pleasures in your life will be unending. Read the rest of this entry
Special Ability I
Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
The number one way to get God’s power is prayer. Acts 1:14 “They all met together and were constantly united in prayer…” [with emphasis]. Read the rest of this entry
