Come Up Here

Rev.4:1 Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.” [with emphasis]

God wants us to step up spiritually. The first thing and a major key to stepping up spiritually that stands out from today’s Scripture reference is “…the same voice I had heard before spoke to me…” This points to the fact that there has to be an existing relationship before you can begin to step up spiritually. Promise Keeper

Joshua 1: 2 “Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them. 3 I promise you what I promised Moses: ‘Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you

God wants you to Step up in leadership. You may not be leading any one currently but you have the potential of leading millions of people. And God is saying to you and I, like He said to Joshua, “Arise! Get up and Step up!” Read the rest of this entry

Pure Joy I

Ps. 16:11 (VOICE) “Instead, You direct me on the path that leads to a beautiful life.  As I walk with You, the pleasures are never-ending, and I know true joy and contentment.”

The joy that is in the Kingdom is in the Holy Spirit and in walking with God. It is as we get into God and into our relationship with Him that we get into His life and experience His joy. Like it is stated in today’s Scripture reference, as you walk with God, the pleasures in your life will be unending. Read the rest of this entry

Special Ability I

Acts 1:8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

The number one way to get God’s power is prayer. Acts 1:14 “They all met together and were constantly united in prayer” [with emphasis]. Read the rest of this entry

Acts 1:14 “They all met together and were constantly united in prayer” [with emphasis]

The Church is so significant. In fact, the church is one institution that will last forever. No government will last forever, no institution will last forever, but the church will last forever. Read the rest of this entry

His Pleasure

Psa. 99:5 “Exalt the Lord our God! Bow low before his feet, for he is holy!”

Your focus in the place of worship is very important because it informs what you will do. Your focus will also inform what you allow and what you will disallow. For instance, if your focus is on people and what they will say, if they will laugh at you or call you a fanatic, you will struggle with kneeling down in God’s Presence. Read the rest of this entry

Your Best

Ps.114: 6 “Why, mountains, did you skip like rams? Why, hills, like lambs? 7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob”

When you encounter God in all His glory, the most sensible thing to do is to kneel before Him. It is senseless not to kneel before Him. Interestingly, there is nowhere in the Bible that God Himself instructs us to bow before Him. God instructs us not to bow before other gods but He did not tell us to bow to Him instead.

In Advance

Heb.12:6 “For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.”

For our relationships to thrive, forgiveness should happen before correction. Forgive means to completely bestow upon in advance. Choose to forgive in advance regardless of what people do. We see that this is the way our heavenly Father operates. Read the rest of this entry

With God & Self

Ps.139:13 “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.”

You cannot give what you do not have. If you do not like what you see in the mirror, you cannot bring life to your relationship with your spouse. I am not saying you should be carnally minded. What I am saying is everything God made is good; God made you and everything about you is good. Read the rest of this entry

But Now

Eph.2:14 “For Christ himself has brought peace to us …in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us”[with emphasis].

It is when we receive this gift from God, which is Jesus Christ, that we experience a three-fold peace. And the three-fold peace is peace with God, peace with self and peace with other people. When people do not fully embrace this gift, they struggle with having peace with God. Read the rest of this entry
