Ambassador

1 Cor.15:19 (AMPC) “If we who are [abiding] in Christ have hope only in this life and that is all, then we are of all people most miserable and to be pitied.”

Christianity is not a fun fair. We are grateful to be on God’s side, and that our lives are not limited to this world alone. We have a hope of eternal life, everlasting life with God. Our decisions cannot be based on this world Read the rest of this entry

The Stand

Eph.6:10 “…be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might… 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth…”

There is so much to learn from the Book and the person of Daniel, particularly in times like this. Things are challenging for the world; however, we are certain that it does not take God by surprise. According to Read the rest of this entry

Error To Avoid

1 Sam.15:22 But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.

Please read the story in 1 Samuel 15 but I will give you an over view. Samuel a prophet, came to king Saul with a message from God. God had enough of the Amalekites; Saul’s instruction was go and wipe out the entire nation Read the rest of this entry

Love Gives

John 3:16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life” [with emphasis]

Prov. 11:5 (MSG) “Moral character makes for smooth traveling; an evil life is a hard life. Good character is the best insurance; crooks get trapped in their sinful lust.”

An anonymous quote defines character as, “…who you are when no one is watching.” Examples of character would be, a woman that overcomes shyness to testify before God’s people that,

Cheap Candy

Prov. 18:7 (MSG) “Fools are undone by their big mouths; their souls are crushed by their words. Listening to gossip is like eating cheap candy; do you really want junk like that in your belly?”

You have to make sure that gossip has no place in your life. I strongly believe that not everyone that goes around gossiping is evil; some are, but most of them are just idle and ignorant.

Get It!

Dan.9:2 [NIV] “in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the Lord given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years.” [with emphasis]

Jeremiah had paid the price and the scriptures say that the Word of the Lord had been given to him. Daniel could have said, “I am Daniel the one that has an excellent spirit, I will get my own Word from the Lord.” Read the rest of this entry

To Action

Dan.9:2 “During the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, learned from reading the word of the Lord, as revealed to Jeremiah the prophet” [with emphasis]

Our scripture reference today shows us that Daniel did not have the answers. But Daniel learned from reading Books – the Word of the Lord in the Book of Jeremiah. Bottom line, Daniel was really smart but he still had to read. Read the rest of this entry

Different Nature

Matt.16:25 “If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.”

The second shift you and I need to make in order to have the right perspective is to work like the Lord. Working like Jesus means putting other people ahead of you and getting excited about making them successful. Read the rest of this entry
