His Not Yours, I
John 5:20 “For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing. In fact, the Father will show him how to do even greater works than healing this man. Then you will truly be astonished.” (emphasis added).
In today’s anchor scripture, we see Jesus boast in His Father’s love for Him and that is big. “The Father loves the Son…”, just like a boy on the playground says, ‘my daddy loves me’. God’s love for you is more important than your love for God. Read the rest of this entry
Four of Four
John 5:45-47 “Yet it isn’t I who will accuse you before the Father. Moses will accuse you! Yes, Moses, in whom you put your hopes. If you really believed Moses, you would believe me, because he wrote about me. But since you don’t believe what he wrote, how will you believe what I say?”
Yesterday we looked at the first two of the four-fold witness; Self-testimony and Testimony of Another. However, Jesus chose that these first two are insufficient simply since they are human testimony because He is superior. Read the rest of this entry
Faith Fundamental
Heb. 11:1&6 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (NIV]
Have you struggled to accept miracles when they occur? I am guilty and I will tell you my story. The voice of doubt is so real, and it keeps a lot of us back. Years ago, when the Holy Spirit first began to lead me to some amazingly accurate Word of Knowledge, I would struggle. Read the rest of this entry
Knowing
John 3:26 “So John’s disciples came to him and said, “Rabbi, the man you met on the other side of the Jordan River, the one you identified as the Messiah, is also baptizing people. And everybody is going to him instead of coming to us.” (emphasis added).
In today’s scripture reference, John the Baptist’s disciples were practically blaming Him for identifying Jesus as the Messiah because now Jesus is also baptizing people, and everybody is going to Him instead of coming to John and his disciples. Read the rest of this entry
Character & Charisma
1 Cor. 13:2 “What if I could prophesy and understand all secrets and all knowledge? And what if I had faith that moved mountains? I would be nothing, unless I loved others.”(CEV)
It is so amazing that the Holy Spirit is so involved. Sadly, sometimes we just run off without engaging Him. If we do not engage the Holy Spirit, we cannot get the best that God has to offer. The quality of our lives here on earth as believers, is directly proportional to our relationship with the Holy Spirit, to how much of Him we allow in our lives, to how open we are to Him, to how open we are to His leading, to His direction, to His guidance. New Wine
Mark 2:22 “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the wine would burst the wineskins, and the wine and the skins would both be lost. New wine calls for new wineskins.”
1 Cor.12:7 “To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” (NRSV, emphasis added). Yesterday, I shared how we used to take people through a spiritual experience. However, because we recognize that man is spirit, it is possible for people to be spiritually active even before they surrender to Jesus. Read the rest of this entry
Advantage II
Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Yesterday, we looked at two benefits of walking with the Holy Spirit and they are: The Holy Spirit Teaches Us To Pray And Gives Us A Prayer Language and The Holy Spirit Comes Bearing Gifts. Read the rest of this entry
Insist On It!
John 14:13-14 “You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!”
Can you stand to be blessed? Many of us are afraid to step into what God has for us. Caleb said, Bring-It-On! Bring on the promises of God. Can you stand the backbiting and the wave of jealousy? Josh.14:12 “So give me the hill country that the Lord promised me…” (emphasis added). Caleb stood and demanded that God’s promise to him be fulfilled. You need to stand and demand that God’s promise to you be fulfilled. In Joshua 14, we see that every other tribe of Israel got their portion of land through lot [divine lot]. But Caleb demanded for his own and this is a big deal – huge! What Caleb did is a big deal and I will explain. Read the rest of this entry
In Him
Ex.14:15-16 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! Pick up your staff and raise your hand over the sea. Divide the water so the Israelites can walk through the middle of the sea on dry ground.
Isa.7:2&4 “The news had come to the royal court of Judah: “Syria is allied with Israel against us!” So the hearts of the king and his people trembled with fear… Tell him to stop worrying…” God told Ahaz to stay calm before telling him how He was going to solve the problem. Permit
Rom.2:4 (GW) “Don’t you realize that it is God’s kindness that is trying to lead you to Him and change the way you think and act?” (emphasis added).
We are totally grateful to God for all that He is doing and for unstoppable cheer. I have no doubt that being on this journey over the past few days, Read the rest of this entry
